  9. What's else?
1. We're Bourbon House, a female-fronted bluesy retro-rock band.
2. Our singer, Lacey is from Sudbury, Ontario but the band was formed in Central Wisconsin.
3. It started out as an acoustic duo. We just wanted to play out so we learned a bunch of covers and played acoustic shows all over Wisconsin. We did that for three years before we wrote our first song and from there we realized that we had an artistic chemistry and we wanted to create our own music. We wrote seven songs for an EP, which we recorded and released in June, 2017. We immediately began writing the next album. Actually, we'd already had a song written for the next album before the EP was even released. We're in the process of recording our next album, which we will be releasing later this year.
4. We have many influences individually, but they overlap as a collaboration. Lacey is a soul singer. She likes anything bluesy, powerful, dynamic, and sensual. The singers who influence her style most are Janis Joplin, Robert Plant, Chris Cornell, and others with the same sing-from-your soul voice. Jason is a fan of 70s hard, riff-based rock like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. He's inspired most by the guitar-playing style of Jimmy Page. The band as a unit is inspired by the throw-back bands. Think Rival Sons, the White Stripes, the Raconteurs. It's raw, riff-based, unprocessed and authentic.

5. We're in the process of recording our full-length album right now!
6. We're always writing new songs and playing shows. After the release of our album this year, we're planning on touring. We're not sure where yet, but it's in the works. We're aiming for a fall/winter tour in 2018.
7. We have some upcoming shows in the Appleton/Green Bay area. If you check out our links, we have all of our shows posted there. We will be playing at the Midwest Original Music Fest this year in Franklin, WI. That's taking place August 17-19. We're also headlining the concert series at the Chestnut Center for the Arts in Marshfield, WI on May 18.
