3 Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.
Daniel and Per are colleagues at work. They have both played music in different constrllations for 20+ years. In
2017 they met to jam together and it was so much fun that they decided to start a band. After a creative period of songwriting and rehearsal they released their first EP Deadline King in January 2018.

4 Tell us about your musical style, influences, ...
Wannacries have been described as everything from hardrock to indie rock and punkrock. They play a fast intensive style of music with a sharp, modern guitar sound. The singing style is a mix of punk, hardrock and metalcore.
Influences range from classic bands such as Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Bad Religion to modern acts like Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour and Shinedown.
5 What has been your last project?
Their last project was the first EP Deadline King that is available on all major streaming services. It is also being played on a number of internet radio stations and shows.
6 And the next thing you have planned?
Wannacries will soon go back into the studio to record a new EP. It will be a development of the Wannacries sound. But since they always want to move forward there will also ve some surprising elements.
7 Upcoming concerts, events ....
At the moment Wannacries are focused on songwriting, recording and promoting their music. There are some plans for local concerts, but it’s still in the early planning stages.

Fun fact. Many of Wannacries’ lyrics have references to IT and IT Security. The name Wannacries is a reference to the ransomware WannaCry that was hitting the world in 2017 when the band was formed.
