What's your name? – Eyemouth.

Where are you from? – Gothenburg, Sweden.

Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now. – Two of us (Marcus and Joakim) played together in another band called Estrange. By 2014 that band had changed so much musically, that we started up the first incarnation of Eyemouth. After a couple changes member wise, and with the addition of Håkan to the band in 2016, we now act like a three piece/power trio.

Tell us about your musical style, influences, ... – We´re trying hard to make sounds and atmosphere to match the songs. We also always tried to reach a more organic sound, which is a lot easier now since we´ve been focusing more on the dynamics between the drums and the bass lately. Guess this could be said so come from some of our main influences like Swans, Current 93 and more recent bands/artists like maybe Chelsea Wolfe and Anna von Hausswolff. Bands like The Cure is always there somewhere too it seems. In short, don’t know if we do have a style or a sound really, it seems to shift from time to time.

What has been your last project? – We followed up our four Ep´s from 2015 with the release of our first full album, A Newly Planted Grain, in late 2017, so much of our focus has been on that one. It´s not easy to get through these days, but we´re trying our best to be heard one way or the other!

And the next thing you have planned? – We´ll release another single and a video for that from the album in April. We´ll also decided to release at least two more videos of songs from the album. And we hope to be able to get a physical release of the album on later on. Also, we have plans to record a new song that will be quite different from everything we´ve done before. And we´ll be writing new music of course!

Upcoming concerts, events ... – We´re actually in rehearsing mode right now and are looking for gigs. Nothing´s planned yet though, but we´ll see what happens!

1. What's your name?

In Deed. Linda Karlsberg, lead vocals, Richard Öhrn, guitar and vocals, Marcus Segersvärd, drums and vocals. When playing live also Jens Siilakka, bass, Johan Helander, guitar and keyboard.

2. Where are you from?

Uppsala, Sweden

3. Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.

The band started during the student years in Uppsala, Sweden. Linda came across a guitar, a cheaper model, which she bought via mail order. She quickly realized that it was quite difficult to pick out the chords to other people's songs, so instead Linda started writing her own. She got about ten songs together and decided to scan interest within Uppsala's music circles.  Linda probably had like an ounce of luck that her note in the student library was read and that she got a call from a guy, who later came to play Hammond organ with In Deed for several years. 

We have been in the music industry for quite some time. Our first album At 4000 meters was released in 2001. Our new album Everest was released in October 2017 and to be released in the UK on the 30th of March 2018.

4. Tell us about your musical style, influences

In Deed play power indie pop rock with melodies and attitude.Some of our influences are The Posies, Beatles, The Smiths, the Manchester scene.

5. What has been your last project?

To record and release our new album Everest. Videomaking for the tracks Don´t Need, Don´t Care and Heart Attack.

6. And the next thing you have planned?

UK tour playing Manchester 28/3 Aatma, London 29/3 Dublin Castle, Liverpool 30/3 Zanzibar.

7. Upcoming concerts, events

Apart from above In Deed will play in Liverpool 18th and 19th of May at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and in Stockholm (SWE) on the 26th of May as a part of the International Pop Overthrow Festival.

3 Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.

Daniel and Per are colleagues at work. They have both played music in different constrllations for 20+ years. In
2017 they met to jam together and it was so much fun that they decided to start a band. After a creative period of songwriting and rehearsal they released their first EP Deadline King in January 2018.

4 Tell us about your musical style, influences, ...

Wannacries have been described as everything from hardrock to indie rock and punkrock. They play a fast intensive style of music with a sharp, modern guitar sound. The singing style is a mix of punk, hardrock and metalcore.

Influences range from classic bands such as Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Bad Religion to modern acts like Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour and Shinedown.

5 What has been your last project?

Their last project was the first EP Deadline King that is available on all major streaming services. It is also being played on a number of internet radio stations and shows.

6 And the next thing you have planned?

Wannacries will soon go back into the studio to record a new EP. It will be a development of the Wannacries sound. But since they always want to move forward there will also ve some surprising elements.

7 Upcoming concerts, events ....

At the moment Wannacries are focused on songwriting, recording and promoting their music. There are some plans for local concerts, but it’s still in the early planning stages.

Fun fact. Many of Wannacries’ lyrics have references to IT and IT Security. The name Wannacries is a reference to the ransomware WannaCry that was hitting the world in 2017 when the band was formed.
