EMERGING BRIT TUNESTERS RELEASE NEW SINGLE!
Dispatching a powerful sound that is raw, aggressive and immersing, BEACHMASTER combine a melodious core with a gritty, energetic delivery, resulting in songs that brim with sentiment and  conviction. The alternative trio have just released their brand new single, Only If You Know – https://youtu.be/_0G1Lg-qVHU The seeds of BEACHMASTER were originally sown in 2013, however, it wasn’t until 2016 that the band settled on their current and long-standing line-up. Coming at you from the Lake District’s Penrith, BEACHMASTER produce hi-octane alternative cuts woven from a slew of influences from the world of rock, punk and folk.
During the past few years, BEACHMASTER have continually upped their game. The band have wooed audiences throughout the UK, played sessions for BBC Introducing, performed at a series of UK festivals including Kendal Calling, Smugglers, Eden Fest, Call of the Wild and Solfest, and have shared stages with the likes of The Kut, Hardwicke Circus, Black Surf, & Funke and The Two Tone Baby. In September 2017, they released their debut album, Strength in Num
bness, to rampant
underground support, and earlier in 2019, they released two very well received singles, Not Going Home and Deadly Deadly.
The powerhouse trio have now released their brand new single, Only If You Know, which adeptly showcases the band’s captivating blend of heavy rock and punk rock urgency. Vocalist and Guitarist CJ Zanelli discusses the motivation behind the track: “I usually write songs cryptically in the hope that people will take their own meaning from them, but I wrote ‘Only If You Know’ from my own despondence to the rising levels of disregard towards the environment in my local area and the world at large.”

With a growing fanbase and increasing support from throughout the UK, BEACHMASTER are a band that command your attention. With live shows in the works, along with a UK tour penned for later this year, BEACHMASTER are ready to take flight.

The Stan Laurels @thestanlaurels via @bigindiegiant

The Stan Laurels BIO The Stan Laurels, based in Austin, TX, USA, are the musical creation of John Lathrop, who takes independent ownership of every aspect of music production, as he writes, performs, sings, records, produces, and releases his music on his label, Plaid Records. Music is everything to him, and he has spent his entire life listening and learning. The culmination of his musical vocabulary and relentless drive to write the perfect pop song, Lathrop has carefully crafted The Stan Laurels with a big, lush, multi-layered pop/rock sound that feels both vintage and modern. Usually labeled indie rock or power-pop, the music truly spans a myriad of styles to show Lathrop's range - a range so broad that he's added Film Score Composer to his duties and two full-length motion picture soundtracks to his catalogue. This includes his most recent effort, the soundtrack the film Maybe Shower; entitled Maybe, this is Lathrop's most highly acclaimed album to date, landing on many "Best of 2018" lists and getting regular airplay all over the world. The pinnacle of these accolades was an Independent Music Award nomination for Best Indie/Alt Rock album of 2018.
Essentially the Indie Grammys, The IMAs are the biggest music award in the world for independent artists. Experimenting with many different musical styles, yet always maintaining an unwavering, strong sonic sense of self, John Lathrop is a unique force of nature, an audial auteur like no other artist. And to his delight, his loving creation, The Stan Laurels, can be found gracing film screens as often as radios. To summarize in one sentence, The Beatles, Breeders, Zombies, Kinks, Yes, and Debussy make up just some of the layers of the Warhol-esque sonic power-pop art painting that is The Stan Laurels.

Redwolves

March 15th has seen Copenhagen based Heavy Psych Rockers REDWOLVES release their hotly anticipated debut album, Future Becomes Past on Argonauta Records. Moving between modern Rock n Roll, intelligent vocals, heavy grooves and finest guitar licks, REDWOLVES manage to combine the classic Scandinavian sound with a fresh approach.
The band formed in 2012 and found a musical community in their common affinity for the classic heavy rock and the 00’s new wave of Scandinavian rock.
Their brand new album marks a noticeable further development of REDWOLVES’ expression which
through the records’ eight songs unfolds itself in a songwriting carrying catchy melodies, energetic and virtuoso musicianship and a modern and analogue attentive production by Jacob Bredahl (Riverhead, LLNN, Rising a.o.).
The band describes their music as “modern classic heavy rock” or at other times “future rock”. Both
terms appropriately describes how heavy Rock n’ Roll effortlessly can remain relevant, as long as the
classic virtues and a good dose of edge and innovation keep being present. REDWOLVES’ first full-length is a complex record, that shows several aspects of REDWOLVES’ talent for writing songs with both directness, catchy hooklines, dynamics and experimentation.
This record is party, light and joy, but equally despair, darkness and depression – and with
good reason....
When REDWOLVES had started off the songwriting for their debut, a brutal incident occurred which was to be determining for the album. On New Years Eve 16/17, singer Rasmus Cundell was the subject of a violent attack which carved its deep traces, both personally and within the band. The event caused a delay of the creative process but at the same time, the band became an important catalyst for pulling through. The lyrics were written after the attack which therefore
naturally constitutes the thematic subject matter of the album. On a personal level, the violence spawned a spiral of depressive and fearful thoughts but also on a more general level, the incident initiated a contemplation in regards to the possibilities of agency in a world that appears hostile and destructive.
Even though many of the songs origin from this depressive state, one still senses a path towards the
light in the music, and it is this adamant hope that the record will remind you of. As the good sides of
life can put depression, hopelessness and contingency into perspective, the negation of life can also put perspective on joy and light: “Especially because we all will perish soon, we must insist on living, partying, loving and not to be conquered by darkness, hate and destruction.” The band explains. “And thus, we must necessarily seek to journey out of the dark again.”
