Voice of Aiko launch their latest campaign W.A.D.E. @voiceofaiko

Voice of Aiko launch their latest campaign W.A.D.E. with a special
event on 7th Feb 2019 in honour of the Calais Children.
Voice of Aiko is extremely proud to launch their latest campaign: W.A.D.E. and
host a viewing of Sue Clayton's documentary film ‘Calais Children: A Case to
Answer’.
Sue's ground-breaking 62-minute film follows the scandal of what happened to the
almost 2000 lone children who were in the Calais Jungle as it burned down in 2016
– most of whom had a legal case to be in the UK. 'Calais Children' recently served
as evidence in the High Court for a Judicial Review case against the Home Office.
On the 7th February at the historic Astor in Hyde Park, Voice of Aiko will host an
evening of diverse art, culture and entertainment to raise awareness and donations
for the Calais Children and Refugee Rights. We are honoured to screen ‘Calais
Children: A Case to Answer’ and welcome filmmaker Sue Clayton for a special Q&A
session.
Following the screening, W.A.D.E is pleased to present performances with an ‘unplugged’
acoustic showcase of incredible world musicians. An explosion of art from
around the world, this unique event features performances from outstanding artists
who have blessed our country with their creativity.
Venue: The Astor, 191 Queen's Gate, South Kensington, London SW7 5EU
Date: Thursday 7th February
Time: 6.00pm – 10.30pm (Film Screening 6.45 pm / Performances 8.30pm)
TICKETS: £10 Early bird / £15 On the Door

VOICE OF AIKO: ‘Prescription Dream’ Press
Voice of Aiko is delighted with the response for their 2018 debut campaign ‘Prescription
Dream’ which, working with partner charities, draws the spotlight on an
ongoing prescription drug epidemic. This impactful campaign includes Enya Belak
Gupta’s powerful film featuring original music by founder Calista Kazuko, charity
artistic workshops, events and an online community vlog.
FAME MAGAZINE
‘Prescription Dream’ is the stylishly relevant project, developed by creative collective
Voice of Aiko (in partnership with charities REST, MIND & APRIL), with the aim to
raise awareness and open dialogue on the ongoing prescription drug crisis.
SMALL MUSIC SCENE
The song has a perfectly matching trippy, spellbinding sound to compliment the
subject matter and the accompanying video is among the most beautiful of 2018.
BEEHIVE CANDY
Prescription Dream is a slick and stylish documentary that illustrates with chilling
insight the terrible impact prescription drugs can have. The tense, unnerving tone
employed throughout represents the helplessness and confusion of dependency
sufferers.
Working with a breath-taking line-up of artists, Voice of Aiko return louder and
more resolute than ever.

Alakazam #music #promotion #onlyrockradio #tiorrplaylist @gerhardtmusic @alakazamtheband

16.35 PM. Some day. Somewhere.
Before the premiere of a new theatretour after rehearsals.

T: ‘I was thinkin’ last week; we shouldn’t stop after this tour.’
E: ‘Yeah, I was thinkin’ the same. Let’s do shows with the 3 of us.’
G: ‘No kiddin’ let’s go!’

Alakazam is a 3 piece band from the Netherlands now. Songwriter, guitarist, vocalist Gerhardt. Drummer, percussionist & backing vocalist Tobias Ponsioen. Bass player, soundscaper & backing vocalist Erik Harbers. The 3 together hold a long history in rock n roll music. Separately being in respected bands such as Woost, Beans & Fatback, Cheaters, Automatic Sam, Sue the Night. Gerhardt is a solo artist as well and 40% of duo 1st of June.

Doing tours, releasing albums, synchs, airplay. Dadida. The 3 of them agreed on a couple of things: We’re not cool. We don’t like no bullshit. We do what feels good. So. Now is now. They play. They write. They record. They release. And that’s about it. Each song aiming to be a sonic spell, trying to bewitch the audience towards darker places. Some songs with 3 voiced choirs. Some hypnotic. Some moody and some uplifting.
Donut Records from the UK released their debut single ‘Flash! Bam! Alakazam!’ on their recent release: Gold, Frankenstein and GRRR.

What kind of music do you play?

‘Rock ‘n’ Roll with a cinematic crooner vibe. We like the art by David Lynch. We like film noir from the 50’s. We like soundscapes as well.

Influences?
Gerhardt is 50’s obsessed and does chores in the house blasting out 90’s rap-music.
Erik likes to space out with effects in his shed and does Talking Heads bass-lines like a pro.
Tobias is designing his new eco friendly house, recording a solo record and doing beats.

Danny McMahon @dannymcmahonuk #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

Danny McMahon has written commercially for paramount songwriting and within the UK country music scene for a number of years however had never seen himself on the front line, as an artist. This all changed upon attending country2country Festival, London in March 2017, where his experience saw him begin to write lyrics that he felt he could only communicate himself due to the honest and personal nature of his new works.

Danny’s passion for country music was bought to the fore upon hearing the famous Brad Paisley song ‘Letter to me’. He said he “connected with the songs’ realness and authenticity”. He became increasingly fixed upon the way country music uses emotive lyrics and shows such a great level of relatability. Danny’s country influences include artists such as Rascal Flatts, Brett Young, Chase Bryant and Thomas Rhett.

Danny writes, records and produces his own music at Puzzle Maker Studios, Bristol. He released his debut EP ‘Making Memories’ in November 2017 of which the single ‘What It’s Like’ reached the semi-finals of Global Unsigned Only 2018 competition. He was also voted best UK male country singer by HEM country radio and reached number 1 in the UK Country Reverbnation Charts.

International attention resulted in Danny becoming the first UK artist to be invited to attend and perform at Springboard West Festival, San Diego, CA in January 2018.

In June 2018, Danny released his second EP ‘Momentarily’ of which the lead single ‘Move’ reached number 73 in the UK iTunes country charts. Since releasing this record, Danny has toured the UK, was awarded UK Male Country Artist of the Year at the UK country music awards and has been nominated for three British Country Music Awards which take place on 24th November.

He has supported both Dylan Schneider (Louisiana, Bristol, UK) and Charlie Worsham (Thekla, Bristol, UK) on their latest UK tours and has recently returned from Nashville where he has been writing and recording with 5-time Grammy nominated and 27-dove nominated artist and producer Billy Smiley.

Danny’s latest single ‘When I See You’ which was released on October 26th debuted at Number 1 in the UK iTunes Country Charts.

Graham Greene @graham_greene #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

Multi-Grammy Award winning engineer, John Hampton of Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN on Graham Greene: “Graham, you da man with the 6 string. Steve Stevens meets Eric Johnson meets Gibbons meets ….GRAHAM!”

Graham Greene grew up in the remote West Australian outback. When he moved to the city as a teen, rock and roll was waiting…
Graham is now forging his own path as an independent composer, performer and bandleader with an impressive catalogue of outstanding albums under his belt.
Breaking into the music scene during the Australian live pub rock phenomenon, Graham cut his teeth playing thousands of gigs through the 80s and 90s with top local bands including his brain child, legendary Perth rockers Ice Tiger. Graham Greene is widely known as a leading Australian exponent of electric rock guitar.

He is the original endorsee with Ormsby Guitars, the first Australian endorsee with Mesa/Boogie amplification, and was the recipient of the 2008 Star Music Award (USA) for Best Rock Instrumental Artist. That same year, Graham and his wife Donna Greene performed before a crowd of 15,000 and a television audience of over six million when their band Resonance Project played at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam. Donna remains an integral part of Graham’s sound as co-writer and featured lead vocalist on all vocal tracks.

In addition to his own projects, Graham has written for and played on two albums by US expat Jac Dalton – Icarus (2012) and Powderkeg (2015), and in 2012 contributed his rocked-up instrumental version of Waltzing Matilda to the soundtrack of filmmaker Kevin Smith’s comedy special, ‘Jay & Silent Bob Go Down Under’.

Damned If I Don't Bio @damnedifiband #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

Damned If I Don't is a project with all songs entirely written, performed and recorded by Daniel Stacey Herber, an experienced musician with a lifetime love of rock music. Currently based in Hong Kong, Daniel plans to recruit a team of extraordinary musicians as a live act and begin touring around the Asia Pacific region in 2019, in addition to writing the follow-up album todebut Self-Titled.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Daniel Stacey Herber is of Dutch, Lithuanian and Irish descent respectively. Having now lived in Asia for over five years, he is truly a world citizen. His career in music began at the age of sixteen years old, where he played in various local bands in his home country for over a decade. His bands have toured extensively, played South African music festivals and received international radio-play. His previous band, notably, secured a distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa and were a featured support act for popular American band Underoath when they toured the country. As a music industry veteran Daniel has proved he has the self-reliance, commitment and dedication needed to see Damned If I Don't succeed in a saturated industry; while keeping alive the ideals of rock and roll which have bonded so many people over the years.
Daniel Stacey Herber has had formal training in guitar from Tyrone Mayer, leader of South Africa's popular Guitar Excellence company; studied bass guitar with globally-renowned jazz bassist and music lecturer Carlo Mombelli and more recently has had vocal training from Daniel Tompkins of Tesseract fame. Daniel has also given back to future generations of musicians by teaching guitar and bass to over one hundred students, over the course of four years, as a music teacher himself. He is currently completing a master's degree in education from a prestigious British university by correspondence and teaches English literature at an international secondary school in Hong Kong.
One of the key strengths of Damned If I Don't is clear, transparent and timely communication with press and fans. Should you reach out to the band you can expect a response within 24 hours at most.
Damned If I Don't Self-Titled is the debut album by Damned If I Don't: written, performed, engineered, produced and recorded by Daniel Stacey Herber throughout the course of 2018. This fact in itself speaks volumes and is referenced in the title of the album. The album takes one on a musical journey through a diverse range of rock songs which have touches of thrash metal, punk and pop at times – a subtle nod of acknowledgment to the band who have influenced Daniel to take a versatile approach to songwriting.

The edgy opening track Never Again introduces audiences to the rock flavor of the album, which is then followed by the raw Constellation, which offers some tongue-in-cheek social commentary on popular culture as it is today. Next is The Clamour, an homage to popular punk rock with the inclusion of many lyrical clich̩s to accompany a sound as familiar as many of these sayings. Bass-driven Octane follows as a shout-out to indie rock coupled with the raw vocal style that can be heard throughout the album. The thrash rock of Second Time Around hits hard and as a calling card, the ambiguous lyrics are open for interpretation Рfamily, politics or another concept entirely, the meaning of these songs are open for interpretation. The juxtaposed gentleness of Hold On was written at a time when great musicians and people took their own lives in 2018 and is a response to these tragedies. The anthemic You Are You showcases a slightly more alternative and progressive sound and features many sonic contrasts. An Ode to the Past is a nostalgia punk rock recollection of days gone by, after which the lighter pop approach of Tartan is introduced, whose central theme revolves around the idea of friendship and departures. Out From Under picks up the momentum of the album at this juncture with its eclectic delivery and lyrical musings. The album closes with the hard-hitting number We Should Be Better, by its design ending the album on a poignant note.

Driive @driiveband #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

DRIIVE BIO
A band which defies categorization within the wide Indie-Alternative
umbrella, Driive is more than the sum of its parts. Bringing together all sorts
of influences, from the raw direct sound of Hüsker Dü and Sonic Youth to the
nuanced and polished offerings of Radiohead and Stereolab, Driive's eclectic
nature shines through in their somber moments of quiet tranquility which
almost always invariably precede dancey boisterous roaring soundscapes.
Alex Gómez who had played bass and guitar in unknown bands like Asylum
Zulus and Hong Kong Quiche wanted to form a new band and started to look
for musicians in Madrid area around 2010. After several attempts, he had
recruited enough people to start a new band known as The Persistence of
Vision by 2013, including Jose Luis Estrada, who had played the rhythm guitar
in Sophisticated Smile before and former singer-songwriter, Brian Ambite.
During the following years the band suffered some lineup changes until the
adition of Jose Manuel Ruiz Alcantara who had played drums in The Gynger
Lynss, The Purple Elephants and 35 transistores, and the bassist Juan Olivares
in 2015. The new lineup decided to change their name to Driive by then.
Driive recorded the EP Strange is Good at Estudio Brazil in Madrid between
October and December of 2016.

Strange is good , an amalgamation of Post Grunge Alternative Rock sounds
and rythms, was released on February 2017.
Two tracks featured in this record attained significant exposure,
foreshadowing better and brighter things in Driive’s future:
First Timer , got airtime on spanish national public radio music station Radio 3
and Jamie got a coveted finalist spot at Sonidos Mans, a renowned spanish
music contest for emerging bands judged both by audiences and reputable
music industry players.
The band started working on their soon to be first LP whilst touring
throughout Spain. Their new shiny toy was to be named “Hideaway” ,
signifying the creation of a unique place Driive can truly consider their own.
Driive’s first Lp was recorded and mixed at Westline Studios in Madrid from
June to September 2018 with the mastering duties being entrusted upon
Ultramarinos Mastering.
The record was released on November 26th, 2018.
Hideaway ventures into more complex territories and atmospheres while
showcasing a peculiar blend of Indie/Alt Rock, Dance Rock, Post Rock and
Indie Pop. It is a delicate world where emotion and excitement coexist with
introspection and sensitivity.
The themes explored in its songs range from the social and existential to the
romantic, where denouncing issues like sexism and conformism ( Sysiphus ,
Icarus ) or burgeois discontent ( Lift You Up ), and feelings of loneliness and
distrust ( Erase Your Face, Comfort Zone ) or fear of death ( Truth ) live
alongside expressions of exhlilaration at finding that significant likeminded
other ( Strange Is Good ) and finally, a celebration of love, friendship and live
music ( The Show ).
One thing is certain:
If you are passionate , if you care and if despite everything, you enjoy life...
...There is definitely room for you in Driive’s Hideaway.
[Driive is: Brian Ambite (vocals, guitar), Jose Estrada (guitar), Juan Olivares
(bass), Alex Gómez (guitar) y Jose Ruiz (drum).]

LAST UNION
Title:

Label:
ROAR! ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS
Genre:
MELODIC ROCK / PROGRESSIVE METAL Cat No: Format: Barcode:
ROAR1815CD
Jewel Case CD

OVERVIEW
Twelve is a labour of love written and pieced together over a two-and-a-half year period. While it isn't intended as a concept album, the songs are linked together with a common thread delving into aspects of the human soul, effectively creating a chapter-by-chapter story. This idea is cemented by the album booklet created by Thomas Ewerhard.
Last Union comment on the songs: "Behind the song lyrics hides a series of scourges affecting our society such as power, money, war, cartomancy, gambling, but giving in the end emphasis to the beauty of human soul, with its good and deepest desires and the uniqueness of every human being overcoming and defeating evil. All the songs are linked by a common thread, which is referenced in the album booklet. Musically, there's a spotlight on the vocal melodies, backed by a heavy sound”. "'The Best Of Magic', 'A Place In Heaven' and 'Hardest Way' were the songs with the greatest impact at the time," says Tiberi. "Those songs allowed us to transmit our emotions and feelings to fans of all ages”.

Another important aspect of Twelve's creation was Scarpeccio's and Tiberi's insistence that Kusch and LePond take part in the recordings, song arrangements, promo shoots and video clips in spite of the geographical distances separating them. Drums were recorded in Sweden, bass in New Jersey, with guitars and vocals laid down at home in Italy. Masterplan keyboardist Axel Mackenrott was brought in to play on "Taken" and Feliziani returned as a guest musician for the other songs. Mixing and mastering fell to famed metal producer Jens Bogren, known for his work with Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Devin Townsend, Angra and Opeth to name a few.
The icing on the cake, however, was getting Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie to sing on three tracks: "President Evil, "Taken" and "A Place In Heaven".
It was another bold move for Last Union and one that one that ultimately paid off following six months of consideration on LaBrie's part. Satisfied with the quality of the songs he recorded his vocals, with stellar results that are guaranteed to attract the attention of LaBrie fans the world over. Last Union don't hide from the fact that inviting LaBrie to participate was a calculated move to draw attention to their work, but as Dream Theater is one of the band's many influences it was a dream come true to genuinely collaborate with him. On top of that, LaBrie's voice suited the chosen songs perfectly and acted as an effective contrast to Scarpeccio's.
Last Union comment on LaBrie’s participation:
"We listened to his first recording for Last Union - which was 'President Evil' - very closely and in amazement; we were so excited that day! Imbued with a new special sensation we can't describe in words... to have at our disposal such talent and expressive capability, his rich voice... surreal. After listening to his music for years, this is one of the reasons it was worth the creation of this project. That's the picture of us landing and leaving, together the destination and the direction towards a new dimension for our music, a sort of transformation, an evolution has happened in ourselves and our work. It would be great to have the opportunity to play with him live someday."
"We can vividly recall how James has always shown himself to feel particularly connected with the songs. It's been a natural process in that sense and we were so glad to learn from him, and he has been enthusiastic about the overall final recordings. His arrival even inspired us to add some new elements to a couple of songs at the very last minute, which he appreciated. From what we've heard, both from him and from his trusted friends and colleagues, he would never put himself into a project if he didn't feel like having an authentic bond with the music. The depth of his vocal interpretation in Twelve can testify that. We're truly grateful for that and even more motivated."

Houndwolf @houndwolf_metal #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

HOUNDWOLF is a heavy metal band from Witten (Germany) which commits itself to the original, Rock’n’Roll-driven form of this genre. The primary focus is always on the energy, songwriting and authenticity.
The band released its first EP Fast and Loose, produced by Mike Misar (Label: M71), on 6th October 2016. Their first full-length album Beware of the Dog (also produced by Mike Misar) was published on 24th November 2016. The next EP Tempted to Abuse (Label: M71) features four brand new songs and was released on 27th April 2018. Tempted to Abused stands out due its organic sound, the straight songwriting and the unadorned and open-minded lyrics.
HOUNDWOLF consist of the following band members: Milan Schloßmacher (Lead Vocals & Lead Guitars), Tobias Maienschein (Guitars & Backings), Daniel Teuchert (Bass & Backings) and Thomas Neuhaus (Drums). The age of the band members ranges from 24 to 29 years.
For years the band has managed to combine aggressive and fast riffs with groovy Hard Rock parts to create punching and still catchy songs. The songs include powerful Uptempo-Riffs, aggressive-easygoing Rock’n’Roll parts, memorable refrains and also merciless mosh parts, delivering everything a Hard’n’Heavy fan needs. However even softer passages and melodic hard rock ballads are part of the band's repertoire.
Despite its high versatility the music of HOUNDWOLF does not require any sound-samples or backing tracks and can be described as totally distinctive and punchy.
HOUNDWOLF stands for genuine and driving Heavy Metal with easy recognizable roots in Hard Rock and an in-your-face attitude.

Puppet Kings: New video & EP @puppetkings @sanpruk #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

POWER ROCK DUO ANNOUNCE NEW VIDEO & EP!
Originally formed in Brighton but now rooted in Clapham, Stout alt-rockers PUPPET KINGS are making new friends and pricking ears with their infectious and driving sound that has already earned the riff merchants favourable descriptors that liken the band to everyone from Foo Fighters and Guns N Roses, through to Queens of the Stone Age and Alice in Chains. PUPPET KINGS have a new video for the track, The Message - https://youtu.be/qFwYD9-wCiY , which has been taken from their forthcoming new EP, The Mountain, out Friday 1st March.
Ever since their inception, PUPPET KINGS have undertaken an impressive live manifesto, which, more than ever, continues to this day. The power duo, comprising of Tomas Cochrane (Guitars, Bass and Vocals) and Harry Lehane (Drums and Vocals), are famed for delivering live shows that are ram-packed with energy and raw passion. These rock purists have also shared the stage with a diverse range of artists spanning from Skindred, Therapy and Royal Blood, through to Slade and Freeze the Atlantic.

As well as a keen desire for hitting the road, PUPPET KINGS have also released a series of well-received EPs and videos. In 2015, the band joined up with artist management company Animal Farm to produce their debut EP, Timebomb. The release was then followed up with 2017’s Very Cool and Groovy EP, which received a glorious KKKK review in Kerrang! Magazine. However, the duo’s most impressive release is their forthcoming EP, The Mountain. Featuring four fiery cuts of imposing modern rock, the record shines bright and commands your attention. The band’s current single, The Message - https://youtu.be/qFwYD9-wCiY , is a true indicator of the EP’s grit, anthemic appeal, and sonic mastery.

PALACE OF THE KING
‘GET RIGHT WITH YOUR MAKER’
PALACE OF THE KING release their monster rocking new album ‘Get Right With Your Maker’ on
23rd March on Golden Robot Records.
This new album is simply one of the finest rock n roll releases you’ll hear this year & these guys are
most definitely on the way UP!
They previously released a new single from the album, 'It's Been A Long Time Coming', on 8th
December on Golden Robot Records, you can check out the video for this track here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oguhFm-jEfs
It’s Been A Long Time Coming track hurtles along the rock & roll tracks; think a mix of AC/DC, '80s
hair rockers Poison and early Gn’R, a radio track at its finest for the 21st century.
The group's singer/ guitarist Tim Henwood says:
"Our new single 'It's Been A Long Time Coming' was actually the last song we recorded for the new
album. We had a bunch of tracks already in the can that had been recorded in between touring, but I
felt it would be worth having one more studio session at the end of the They Who Rock tour
with Screaming Jets and Baby Animals while we were on a roll and the band was playing so well. So,
we headed back to Medici Studios in Geelong (about an hour from Melbourne), set up with me
engineering and playing guitar behind the desk and the guys in the live room, and we started jamming
on a few ideas Sean (keys/ guitar) and I had been throwing around in our heads.
The result was that we captured a great, raw energy and the songs came up awesome. Once I had
finished overdubs we sent it off to Machine (Clutch, Lamb Of God) for mixing and it's sounding killer! I
can't wait for everyone to hear the rest of the album."

Biography
Formed in late 2012, Palace Of The King - nameless at that point - quickly recorded a 3 track demo
and developed the vision of a blues-infused rock and roll band. Far from a grave-robbing retro trip,
Palace Of The King has just as much in common with Rival Sons, Graveyard & Jack White as they do
Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath & Deep Purple. Remember when bands released an album a year and
toured ’til the wheels fell off the tour van?
Having spent their formative years storming stages in every corner of Australia - alongside bands as
varied as Airbourne and The Tea Party - and priming themselves for an international assault, Palace
Of The King took their finely-honed live show through Europe in October 2015. Armed with 2 EPs, a
full-length vinyl LP and a second full length studio album; this is a band that has earned their stripes
and wear them with pride.
“Palace Of The King is literally like a huge ground shaking Palace of riffs, soul and Rock’n’Roll.”
comments Joel O’Keeffe, lead singer and guitarist of Airbourne. “With more hooks and lines than a
hard=working Bering Sea fishing fleet they are guaranteed to tangle you up, reel you in and blow you
away with their unique six- stringing, soul singing, sexy stomping Rock’n’Roll! They are the real fuckin’
deal! Crank up POTK!”
In 2015, it was time for the White Bird to take flight. From 3 minute funk-infused rockers through to
seven minute Sabbath-esque crushers, Palace Of The King seized the opportunity to explore every
intricate corner of their influences and craft a debut album that caught a band at a point where
‘scratching the surface’ wasn’t nearly enough. In 2016 the band unveiled Valles Marineris on 15th
July 2016 (Europe/ UK), Valles Marineris deepened Palace Of The King’s footprint on the
international rock music scene by expanding on the “raw, energetic, imaginative and boundarypushing”
(Dedicated Rocker Society) qualities of their debut through an all- new 10 track collection of
blues and psych-infused hard rock.
Lead by the bruising gospel-tinged riffathon of ‘Let The Blood Run Free’, Valles Marineris is both
eclectic and unrelenting right through to the final eerie piano fadeout of album closer ‘Into The
Black’. In support of the Valles Marineris album POTK toured constantly throughout 2016/17 covering
Europe as headliners and as guest with Airbourne, hitting America for the second time and multiple
laps of Australia as headline act, also as guests with The Angels, Baby Animals and the Screaming
jets.
The ‘freight train’ metaphor may be overused. But you’d be hard-pressed to find one that is bettersuited
to a band that has played constantly, released a mountain of music and expanded their
markets at such a prolific rate. With extensive tour dates in Australia, USA and Europe, 2016/17 has
been Palace Of The King’s most productive year to date.

New album 'Get Right With Your Maker' will be released on 23rd March on Golden Robot Records.

New Video Released by Dark Sky Park @sanpruk #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

NEW VIDEO RELEASED!
Sheffield Rock trio DARK SKY PARK have just revealed a new video for their current single, Stand My Ground, which is out now via Holier Than Thou Records - https://youtu.be/MRXIWc_iCss . All proceeds from the single go to the charity, Refuge.
DARK SKY PARK were originally formed in 2013 in Tenerife when drunken holidaymakers Debbie Bilson (lead vocals and gnarly bass) and Ainsley Stones (guitar and backing vocals) devoured copious amounts of cheap local wine before hatching a plan for world domination. In serving up a barrage of rock-infused riffs and alluring vocals, the duo began to make their way.
Sharing a common passion for dark, melodic riffs and angular phrasing, DARK SKY PARK cite everyone from Black Sabbath and Soundgarden, to Ziggy Stardust and ABBA, as influences. In 2016, the emerging rockers set loose their debut EP, Follow Me, to much acclaim. Soon after, Holier Than Thou Records snapped up the band and continued with their development. By 2018, the twosome had gained an army of fans and widespread recognition for engaging live performances. The duo, however, still had to rely upon revolving drummers. This all changed at the start of 2018, when highly experienced and hugely capable drummer, Jai Geere, joined the ranks. Ever since then, Jai has been a solid and formidable backbone to the band’s already accomplished sound.
DARK SKY PARK now surge ahead with a video for their current single, Stand My Ground. Vocalist and bassist, Debbie Bilson discusses the track: “’Stand My Ground’ is about facing up to my own demons. It’s about my own experience of an abusive relationship, my decision to stand my ground against him. We chose to release the song in support of Refuge.org.uk to share my story and hopefully help others to do the same.”

PALACE OF THE KING ‘GET RIGHT WITH YOUR MAKER’
PALACE OF THE KING release their monster rocking new album ‘Get Right With Your Maker’ on 23rd March on Golden Robot Records. This new album is simply one of the finest rock n roll releases you’ll hear this year & these guys are most definitely on the way UP! They previously released a new single from the album, 'It's Been A Long Time Coming', on 8th December on Golden Robot Records, you can check out the video for this track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oguhFm-jEfs
It’s Been A Long Time Coming track hurtles along the rock & roll tracks; think a mix of AC/DC, '80s hair rockers Poison and early Gn’R, a radio track at its finest for the 21st century. The group's singer/ guitarist Tim Henwood says: "Our new single 'It's Been A Long Time Coming' was actually the last song we recorded for the new album. We had a bunch of tracks already in the can that had been recorded in between touring, but I felt it would be worth having one more studio session at the end of the They Who Rock tour with Screaming Jets and Baby Animals while we were on a roll and the band was playing so well. So, we headed back to Medici Studios in Geelong (about an hour from Melbourne), set up with me engineering and playing guitar behind the desk and the guys in the live room, and we started jamming on a few ideas Sean (keys/ guitar) and I had been throwing around in our heads. The result was that we captured a great, raw energy and the songs came up awesome. Once I had finished overdubs we sent it off to Machine (Clutch, Lamb Of God) for mixing and it's sounding killer! I can't wait for everyone to hear the rest of the album." Biography Formed in late 2012, Palace Of The King - nameless at that point - quickly recorded a 3 track demo and developed the vision of a blues-infused rock and roll band. Far from a grave-robbing retro trip, Palace Of The King has just as much in common with Rival Sons, Graveyard & Jack White as they do Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath & Deep Purple. Remember when bands released an album a year and toured ’til the wheels fell off the tour van? Having spent their formative years storming stages in every corner of Australia - alongside bands as varied as Airbourne and The Tea Party - and priming themselves for an international assault, Palace Of The King took their finely-honed live show through Europe in October 2015. Armed with 2 EPs, a full-length vinyl LP and a second full length studio album; this is a band that has earned their stripes and wear them with pride.
“Palace Of The King is literally like a huge ground shaking Palace of riffs, soul and Rock’n’Roll.” comments Joel O’Keeffe, lead singer and guitarist of Airbourne. “With more hooks and lines than a hard=working Bering Sea fishing fleet they are guaranteed to tangle you up, reel you in and blow you away with their unique six- stringing, soul singing, sexy stomping Rock’n’Roll! They are the real fuckin’ deal! Crank up POTK!” In 2015, it was time for the White Bird to take flight. From 3 minute funk-infused rockers through to seven minute Sabbath-esque crushers, Palace Of The King seized the opportunity to explore every intricate corner of their influences and craft a debut album that caught a band at a point where ‘scratching the surface’ wasn’t nearly enough. In 2016 the band unveiled Valles Marineris on 15th July 2016 (Europe/ UK), Valles Marineris deepened Palace Of The King’s footprint on the international rock music scene by expanding on the “raw, energetic, imaginative and boundary-pushing” (Dedicated Rocker Society) qualities of their debut through an all- new 10 track collection of blues and psych-infused hard rock. Lead by the bruising gospel-tinged riffathon of ‘Let The Blood Run Free’, Valles Marineris is both eclectic and unrelenting right through to the final eerie piano fadeout of album closer ‘Into The Black’. In support of the Valles Marineris album POTK toured constantly throughout 2016/17 covering Europe as headliners and as guest with Airbourne, hitting America for the second time and multiple laps of Australia as headline act, also as guests with The Angels, Baby Animals and the Screaming jets. "Cocoon" Babyteeth @babyteethmusic via @lostinthemanor #music #promotion #onlyrockradio

"COCOON"

Released: 14 December 2018 | Label: self release via AWAL
Producer: Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Florence and the Machine, Rat Boy)
LISTEN: COCOON
“BABYTEETH are absolutely sick. Catchy, quirky, dark brilliance, I’ve been playing them constantly” – Alex Baker, Kerrang Magazine
“I love this… it makes me think of a bunch of bands I’d not listened to in a while like Veruca Salt, and that is only a good thing” – Daniel
P Carter, Radio 1 Rock Show
“BABYTEETH have a snarl that you just can’t get out of your mind.”- Clash Magazine

There's soon to be something in your head…
That something is the new single from BABYTEETH. "Cocoon", is the third single from the London based 5 piece, who
with every release gets stronger and bolder. Another banger, it follows the success of "Shame" which saw them garner
new fans in Radio 1 and Kerrang Magazine, who featured the band, not once, but twice in so many months.
Influenced by grunge and punk rock and inspired by strong female artists and role models, "Cocoon" arrives to rock the
alternative world with BABYTEETH’s signature guitar sound. Reminiscent of your best loved 90's rock bands, yet filtered
through huge, exhilarating modern production, BABYTEETH are certain to become your new favourite band for 2019 and
beyond. The new track not only makes an audio statement but a strong lyrical one to boot. "Cocoon is about how we’re
sometimes addicted to making bad choices because they’re the more exciting. It’s also about how powerful it can be to
decide to feel gratitude for all the shitty experiences, as they’ve turned you into a stronger version of yourself. It’s about
personal rebirth, and remaking"

These sentiments reflect in the bands video. In order to contribute to the eerie dark feeling of the song, it was shot in
black and white, inside a 70’s time capsule- like, retro workingmen's club in North London. The video features various
imagery around the theme of death and rebirth -"Lot's of it is hidden if you take a closer look", says the band, which will
prompt you to watch it over and over. BABYTEETH loved getting to “destroy a load of stuff”, despite it resulting in two of
the members setting themselves on fire accidentally! Never give a band a can of lighter fluid is the real lesson here.
The video also hints at just how explosive BABYTEETH are live. It's no wonder they were Live At Leeds 'Ones To
Watch' and have supported the likes of The Naked and Famous and The Pearl Harts. The band is in demand and will
finish the year as fast and furious as they started it when they support Adam Ant at a sold
out Roundhouse in Camden on the 19th December.
Band Members:
Camilla Roholm (vox, guitar)
Eilidh McKellar (lead guitar)
Rio Hellyer (bass)
Samantha Lubin (drums)
Sam Hammond (guitar)

"Fastest-selling Local Independent Artist"
"Sounds Beautiful" - Martha Tilston

Sara Vian began to earn respect on the music scene with the release of her self-penned debut EP, produced by Will Angeloro (Lekan Babalola) on Soaring Magpie Records on Record Store Day  2015, earning the title of “fastest-selling local indie artist” at her local record store.

This was then followed with the release of her debut album on Record Store Day 2016, again produced on Angeloro on Soaring Magpie, but this time celebrated with a grand launch party, broadcast globally by Frome FM with a live studio audience at the Assembly Rooms in Frome on the 75th anniversary of Churchill's proclaimation of how how we are "Master's of our fate; Captains of our souls!" (Invictus) to a war-torn Britain!  T
his was then followed with a tour of Laval, France.

Vian’s music has been described as “accessible folk” as she has a charming and disarming tone which transforms the ordinary folk song into an entertaining soundtrack, engaging the listener with intriguing chord combinations, beautiful harmonies and relatable stories of love, struggle, triumph and insights.

In June 2016, Vian supported Martha Tilston and in September 2017, embarked on the “Beautiful Soul Tour” (title-track of the album) of east coast of America where a chance encounter with Jon Bon Jovi catapulted her profile.

Vian has also performed with PeeWee Ellis and Gypie Mayo (“Milk and Alcohol” – Dr Feelgood).

Music For Programmers EP Kylmyys began as an ambient electronic duo providing background music for art gatherings and parties around the Seattle area. Over time, the Kylmyys sound evolved and they began infusing their soundscapes with a pop sensibility—receiving positive fanfare from both local and foreign publications. Since their 2012 album debut, The Ice Breaks at Dawn, Kylmyys releases have featured electronic beats and melodies fused with cold and dark ambient soundcapes, creating a sort of Post Rock meets Trip Hop Vibe. But most have found it impossible to pigeonhole the duo into one particular genre.Case in point: with Music for Programmers Kylmyys remain true to their eclectic sound, this time paying homage to '80s Synthwave—— adding their own unique take on the genre——and also to those who tirelessly create modern technological applications, programming well into the night. However, this music is not just for computer programmers but for all people, as Homo sapiens increasingly become connected to the human network through our smart phones and perhaps our awakened pineal glands, via the celestial wireless.
