Voice of Aiko launch their latest campaign W.A.D.E. @voiceofaiko

Voice of Aiko launch their latest campaign W.A.D.E. with a special
event on 7th Feb 2019 in honour of the Calais Children.
Voice of Aiko is extremely proud to launch their latest campaign: W.A.D.E. and
host a viewing of Sue Clayton's documentary film ‘Calais Children: A Case to
Answer’.
Sue's ground-breaking 62-minute film follows the scandal of what happened to the
almost 2000 lone children who were in the Calais Jungle as it burned down in 2016
– most of whom had a legal case to be in the UK. 'Calais Children' recently served
as evidence in the High Court for a Judicial Review case against the Home Office.
On the 7th February at the historic Astor in Hyde Park, Voice of Aiko will host an
evening of diverse art, culture and entertainment to raise awareness and donations
for the Calais Children and Refugee Rights. We are honoured to screen ‘Calais
Children: A Case to Answer’ and welcome filmmaker Sue Clayton for a special Q&A
session.
Following the screening, W.A.D.E is pleased to present performances with an ‘unplugged’
acoustic showcase of incredible world musicians. An explosion of art from
around the world, this unique event features performances from outstanding artists
who have blessed our country with their creativity.
Venue: The Astor, 191 Queen's Gate, South Kensington, London SW7 5EU
Date: Thursday 7th February
Time: 6.00pm – 10.30pm (Film Screening 6.45 pm / Performances 8.30pm)
TICKETS: £10 Early bird / £15 On the Door

VOICE OF AIKO: ‘Prescription Dream’ Press
Voice of Aiko is delighted with the response for their 2018 debut campaign ‘Prescription
Dream’ which, working with partner charities, draws the spotlight on an
ongoing prescription drug epidemic. This impactful campaign includes Enya Belak
Gupta’s powerful film featuring original music by founder Calista Kazuko, charity
artistic workshops, events and an online community vlog.
FAME MAGAZINE
‘Prescription Dream’ is the stylishly relevant project, developed by creative collective
Voice of Aiko (in partnership with charities REST, MIND & APRIL), with the aim to
raise awareness and open dialogue on the ongoing prescription drug crisis.
SMALL MUSIC SCENE
The song has a perfectly matching trippy, spellbinding sound to compliment the
subject matter and the accompanying video is among the most beautiful of 2018.
BEEHIVE CANDY
Prescription Dream is a slick and stylish documentary that illustrates with chilling
insight the terrible impact prescription drugs can have. The tense, unnerving tone
employed throughout represents the helplessness and confusion of dependency
sufferers.
Working with a breath-taking line-up of artists, Voice of Aiko return louder and
more resolute than ever.
