LEVY

I LEVY
tornano con un nuovo capolavoro
intitolato
“BEAUTIFUL MONSTERS”
link video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWxCbmIvaCo
Dopo l’enorme consenso ricevuto per “Jamie”(link video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S56F4kedQqE&t ), i Levy tornano con un nuovo
capolavoro intitolato “Beautiful
monsters”.
June 22 - Biccari (Unida - ITALY)
June 26 - Sheffield (West Street Live - UK)
June 27 - Derby (The sitwell tavern - UK)
June 28 - Addlestone (The Cave At The Holly Tree - UK)
June 29 - Northwich (The Salty Dog - UK)
June 30 - Warrington (The Old Town House - UK)
July 1 - Northampton (King Billy rock bar - UK)

LEVY – BIOGRAFIA
l'esperienza pluriennale sui palchi italiani.
Spagna, Svizzera, Giappone e molti altri paesi).

  1. What's your name?
    Homerik
  2. Where are you from? New York, NY
  3. Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now. In the summer of 2014, Homerik began in the studios of the Sonic Arts Center at The City College of New York. Over the course of three years, Homerik was working behind the scenes to create the foundation of its music and art. At its core, Homerik's mission is to bring back the authenticity of artists. With Metal seeming to have grown stale and repetitive, Homerik gives new life in a direction that encapsulates the mind in an imaginary world. Today, Homerik continues to further their cause by writing music that pays homage to the great poets of old.
  4. Tell us about your musical style, influences, ... Heavily influenced by film and video game composers, Homerik takes on a style that can be used as the soundtrack to your everyday life. Inspired by Hans Zimmer, Koji Kondo, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, Epica, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, and so many other Metal bands, Homerik is written from the perspective of a devout metalhead who enjoys the splendor of symphonic scoring.
  5. What has been your last project? Homerik released its debut album on Halloween, 2017 accompanied with its music video of "A Song of the Night: Part I"
  6. And the next thing you have planned? Homerik will dive into the topics of tyranny and internal struggle, with a narrative based off of Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy", specifically "Inferno".
  7. Upcoming concerts, events .... There are no plans for a Homerik tour as of this moment.

Actually I try to create 4 or 5 songs starting from a piece of piano, recorded in one shot and not sequenced, on which I place arrangements themselves also in one shot, but it takes me a lot of time and I miss of material and cash.

I like art in general, I'm pretty modern but very eco-friendly too. I am a father and a husband. I wish I were very rich, but I only need to pay for my guitar strings and my drum sticks. I'm very lucky to be who I am and I hope I'm not being too selfish. I hate hate and I love love.

2. Originally from Colchester. We now based in London.

3. We were friends from school, going up in and around Colchester. We used to play music together as teenagers. Fast forward a decade or so, we met up under a railway arch in south London and set to work on writing a whole load of new songs and formed the band you hear today. 2016 was spent working on a load of new material. 2017 we started gigging and recording. 2018 saw the release of our second EP and more gigging.

4. Our focus is largely on melody and energy. We’re in to quite a broad spectrum of music, from hard hitting stuff like Biffy Clyro and Jimmy Eat World to more delicate melodic bands like Crowded House and City & Colour. We find inspiration in our every day lives, we are always making notes from observations, fleeting thoughts or from things we read.

5. The release of our second EP ‘Feels Like Home’ and a headline show at The Islington in London

6. We are currently writing new material for our next release and rehearsing more upcoming shows.

7. We are playing at the Monarch in Camden, London on 22nd March.

The Life and Death

2. Where are you from?

We are from east London in the UK. It’s an area of exciting creativity, venues and bars and we do a lot here.

3. Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.

This is the new band from underground London singer and frontman, Justin Buckley. The band line-up was formed a little over 2 years ago and we have been playing a number of specially curated shows in some of the city’s most exciting underground venues, bringing together some of the best new underground bands around to play with us.

4. Tell us about your musical style, influences, …

We describe ourselves as NewWave PostPunk underground pop.

When people ask us what sort of thing we sound like we sometimes say: imagine a triangle with The Strokes, Nirvana and Radiohead at its three corners. Then throw in the swagger of The Afghan Whigs, the slink of Motown, the attitude of The Clash and the pop attack of the Ramones.

5. What has been your last project?

Last year we put out a new EP called This Heart Has Been Broken. It’s available via all the major online stores and services and we also printed it up as a beautiful limited-edition disk, which people can get at our shows.

2017 also saw us play our biggest show yet in London at the iconic and super-important Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club venue. It was our most exciting show line-up yet and we were joined by our amazing friends Chesca Dolecka and Marine.

6. And the next thing you have planned?

More very exciting shows coming soon. Watch out for announcements!

Bay Station

ONLYROCKRADIO.COM

1.    What's your name? Bay Station
2.    Where are you from? Alameda, CA
3.     Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.
For their third studio recording Other Desert Cities (April 27, 2018), Bay Station sought inspiration amid the stark, natural beauty of the Mojave Desert. While their first two releases, Your Own Reaction (2014 under their former name, KCDC) and Go Out and Make Some (2016) reflected the coastal landscape of their home in Alameda, California, the 10 songs on Other Desert Cities were written by Bay Station co-founders Deborah Crooks and Kwame Copeland during several week-long writing retreats in Joshua Tree. Their experiences and impressions of the desert town adjacent to its namesake National Park inform the recording, which details the strange, poetic, and distinctly American stories of desert denizens, both animal and human.
As they did on their previous two releases, Deborah Crooks (vocals, principal lyricist) and Kwame Copeland (guitar, dobro, vocals, harmonica) co-produced Other Desert Cities with Mike Stevens. Stevens (Sun Kil Moon, The Uptones) also played drums, mixed the record, and recorded three of the tracks at his Lost Monkey studio in Hayward, CA. Along with Ben Bernstein (bass) and Steve Waters (guitar, backing vocals)they recorded most of the album at Gatos Trail studio in the Mojave, among the Joshua trees and creosote, with engineer Dan Joeright. Ben Bernstein also recorded and engineered “Fire Song” and “Trickster Moon” at Petting Zoo Studio in Oakland, CA. Upon joining the band in late 2017, bass player Chris Veenstra contributed to several songs on the record, as did guest musicians Michael McNevin(electric and slide guitar), and Joan Reuter (fiddle). The album was mastered by Ken Lee (JJ Grey & Mofro, Bill Frisell) in Oakland.
