Yur Mum

1- What’s your name? 2- Where you're from?
Yur Mum and we’re based in London.

Akos Gado - Hungarian
Anelise Kunz - Austrian-Brazilian
Fabio Couto - Brazilian

3- Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now?
It would be a LONG LONG story, darling, so we will stick to Yur Mum’s prequel.

Anelise and Fabio were in a band named Plastique. They met Akos during one of their gigs. A long time afterwards they finally decided to jam with the ambition to perform a few covers in the local boozer.

Yur Mum’s first gig happened by chance. Plastique had a headline gig and one of the support bands cancelled and Gabriel (Plastique) suggested we took the slot. Ane and Fabio ended up playing on both sets.

We can’t believe how far we’ve come  in the last 2 years. We’ve signed to Flicknife Records and have our debut album due on the 6th April.

4- Tell us about your musical styles, influences.
We love ROCK…in all its form, colour and shape.

5-What has been your last project?
In this case last will be first. By that we mean Mama’s debut album. Pre-orders are open and physical copies in production...the release date is 6th of April. This is a result of nearly two years rehearsing, gigging, whilst working full time. We recorded the tracks at The Nave in Leeds. But every single sleepless night, hangover, back pain was worth it when we hear the result of the album.

6-And the next thing you have planned?
We’re gonna do what we enjoy the most which is hitting the road. We’re gonna support Svetlanas on a couple of UK gigs, then we head to Scotland to play Girls To The Front, we have 8 Mamapalloza dates afterwards, summer festivals and gigs and hopefully another EU tour.

The Blue Carpet Band

The Blue Carpet Band ‘Rock And Roll Carpet - Relaid’
Release date: 30th March 2018

The Blue Carpet Band formed as a 5 piece in North London in early 2014 taking their name from the colour of the flooring in the rehearsal space at T.Chances.  Initially a blues/hard rock band, they quickly evolved over the last 2 years into what can be called a dirty rock’n’roll band with elements of garage rock, proto punk, 12 bar blues and a bit of psychobilly.
They released a live five track EP in September 2016 and set about hitting the road to promote it. 2017 saw them playing a number of festivals including Deerstock and Undercover plus gigs with The Outcasts, GBH, Richie Ramone, UK Subs, 999 as well as playing the famous 100 Club as part of Resolution Festival, gathering a large and loyal following. Their debut album “Rock and Roll Carpet-Relaid” will be supported with a massive tour including 8 dates with the famed Mamapalooza Tour. Then, they are off to Europe including France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. This is going to be our main release for the year and we are going to push it, push it, push it: Djamel Abina, the 21 years old singer, will be a star, with or without that band or us. The Life and Death

ONLYROCKRADIO.COM
1. What's your name?
The Life and Death

2. Where are you from?

We are from east London in the UK. It’s an area of exciting creativity, venues and bars and we do a lot here.

3. Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.

This is the new band from underground London singer and frontman, Justin Buckley. The band line-up was formed a little over 2 years ago and we have been playing a number of specially curated shows in some of the city’s most exciting underground venues, bringing together some of the best new underground bands around to play with us.

4. Tell us about your musical style, influences, …

We describe ourselves as NewWave PostPunk underground pop.

When people ask us what sort of thing we sound like we sometimes say: imagine a triangle with The Strokes, Nirvana and Radiohead at its three corners. Then throw in the swagger of The Afghan Whigs, the slink of Motown, the attitude of The Clash and the pop attack of the Ramones.

5. What has been your last project?

Last year we put out a new EP called This Heart Has Been Broken. It’s available via all the major online stores and services and we also printed it up as a beautiful limited-edition disk, which people can get at our shows.

2017 also saw us play our biggest show yet in London at the iconic and super-important Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club venue. It was our most exciting show line-up yet and we were joined by our amazing friends Chesca Dolecka and Marine.

6. And the next thing you have planned?

More very exciting shows coming soon. Watch out for announcements!
