New single from The Ady Baker Sound asks why people with power are f**king it up!
Reading, 15th November 2019 – Reading based band, The Ady Baker Sound, release their new single “O.N.E” (oh-en-ee). on Musical Bear ‘Records’ on 7th December, with a launch gig at the legendary After Dark Club in Reading on 8th December. The single will be distributed globally through all online platforms and a limited number of 7” singles will be available exclusively at their live shows.
"O.N.E." a song that has already been played by BBC Introducing, asks people to stop pavement gazing and look up and challenge those with power. It was recorded at Outhouse Studios and produced by John Mitchell, who has also produced the likes of Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, Architects and Lower Than Atlantis amongst others.
The Ady Baker Sound are Jim Dorney (bass), Mark Summers (guitar), Leo Brown (drums) and Ady Baker (lyrics, vocals & samples). One of the more diverse artists to emerge in the last year, their sound is hard to pin down but has been described as ‘polyphonic psych rock with a big chorus’. The band create a mashed-up bumper car race of break-beats, seismic bass lines, glide guitar and machine-gun drum barrages, laced with laid back vocals and lyrical weaponry that channel Tim Burgess, Ride and Death In Vegas.
They’ve been developing their intense sets in venues around the south east with successful supports slots with Dodgy and Jesus Jones. The Ady Baker Sound have gained recognition for their passionate live shows and are set to embark on a mini UK tour in the new year prior to going into the studio to record their debut album in 2019.
