Electric Mud

Electric Mud a Rock Band based in San Diego has released 2 albums. Straight to the Top was very popular in several different markets including Maryland, Virginia, New York and San Diego. Interestingly their best sales came in France, Huh?, where a French music blogger repeatedly applauded the album. Their 2nd. album, Dangerous Promises was released in November to standing room only crowd at The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. EM recently played on a 5 band show at the House of Blues. The work sheet shows EM accounting for the majority of the 600 fans in attendance. Electric Mud is proud to have been nominated in the Best Rock category for the 2018 San Diego Music Awards.

Marc Hansen – Songwriter, Lead Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar

Marc grew up in Staten Island New York. Marc’s aunt, Patti Hansen a well known super model in the 1970’s married Keith Richards of The

Rolling Stones in 1983. Uncle Keith gave Marc his first guitar lessons and mentored along the way. Marc followed in his older brothers footsteps, joined the navy and successfully completed the Special Warfare Operator Naval Rating and became a US Navy Seal. Marc’s older brother, also a Navy

Seal, acted in the lead Navy Seal role in the movie Act of Valor which featured real Seal team members as actors in the movie. After leaving the Navy Marc hooked up with his younger brother Matty to keep a promise they made to each other to form a band together and take a stab at the music business.

Matty Hansen – Drums and Backing Vocals

Matty the youngest of 8 in the Hansen family spent his youth in classic American mischief, always outdoors and getting sent to the hospital for this sprain and that broken bone. In his teenage years he watched his older brother Marc sit on his bed with his garage sale guitar and figure out John Lee Hooker licks. Matty became fascinated with music and likes to say, “There my true rebellion began”. Dave, one of Matty’s older brothers somehow convinced their dad to buy Matty a drum set and from then on he played to his own records.

Colton Cori – Lead and Rhythm Guitar and Backing Vocals

Growing up in the rural San Jose life of music began at five years old when his uncle busted out an old Globe nylon string guitar which had been long forgotten. Colton sat for hours strumming that thing without forming any chords. He did however form a love for that instrument, the sound the feel and the joy he received playing with it. Colton like to get in his Uncles truck and

Hank Williams Jr. tapes over and over while dreaming of someday getting a guitar and learning to play. Eventually Colton did get his wish,

guitar which he wore out playing. Colton met Matty serving on the same ship in the Navy and began to play together in their off time. Soon they were both out of the Navy and joining Matty’s brother Marc in forming a band that would soon

evolve into Electric Mud. While on a trip to theeast coast to play some shows and visit family Marc, Matty, Colton and their then bass visited their cousin Matt Sorena’s family home which is next door to their Uncle Keith’s.

At the family confab at Matt and Uncle Keith’s homes in Connecticut (they are next door neighbors) Matt had a chance to sit in with his cousins in Electric Mud. That jam would set the course for Matt to be invited to join the band and start him on yet another path, the path to the West Coast and San Diego. Matt is probably the most diversified and well trained musician of the group.Sparking the fire, Matt was inspired by the greats of classic rock and decided to pursue music in his life.

After several youth group bands Matt started a garage band in high school. Matt set his musical path by attending Southern Connecticut StateUniversity completing a Bachelors degree in Jazz Performance. In 2010 the NCAA awarded Matt “All American” status as a student athlete in Division II swimming. After college Matt interned and then worked as an engineer at Electric Lady

Band Biography
While Progressive Hard Rock is sort of a least-deviant drawer to describe COREIGNs style,
Curry and Reto, a married composer couple, however write songs across many Genres and it
thus is very common for them to release also compositions and songs like Symphonic, Ballad,
Funk, Blues, Rock, Punk and many more, and in any blend and sort of cross-over style
containing, but not limited to Gothic, Classic, Film and Musical elements. It somehow is this
ability of blending many influences into a song, while always sounding in their very unique
COREIGN-style that makes this Band a musical Chameleon.
Starting in April 2013 it soon became clear that, when two composers with similar taste and
the ability to cover all instruments meet, this would be the blast. Choosing CORE [2013-2016]
as their first band name thus was the obvious, reflecting this "inner circle" feeling of the two.
While first the production of existing compositions was the goal, they soon started to
compose songs together, mixing their wide variety of influences into their new combined
song material.
Curry is fond of progressive rock and bands like "Within Temptation", "Evanescence" or
"Nightwish", Reto's influences mainly stem from hard rock, metal and punk bands like "Led
Zeppelin", "Cure", "Ufo" and many others. Having Rock Music as their melting point play
ground, they released 7 Albums, 1 EP and 1 Single between March 2014 and March 2016,
produced all by themselves within an ultra-short time. Using few correction and re-recording,
their songs keep a very vivid and live-sounding character that prefers the authentic, direct,
raw and pure sounding over the nowadays over-corrected and over-produced.
Due to the fact that there are hundreds of Bands by the Name of CORE, they decided to
rename their Band to COREIGN, starting in June 2016. And up to date, they keep a very high
pace of producing one new album every few months and are thus constantly working on
their next album...
Their goal is to further improve in crafting and technical production, still doing everything on
their own: composing, arranging, playing, recording, mixing, mastering and producing; all is
done by themselves. And, be assured, they will keep on interpreting "progressive" more as
"avant-garde" than as a fixed Genre and they will surprise us again with new compositions,
that in a very exact sense would reflect what the definition of Jazz would mean: absorbing
just every possible influence, combining it anew, and bringing it out again surprising...

Born 1982 in Zurich, Switzerland. Started to play instruments (flutes and clarinet) in her
childhood. In her youth she started to play piano and electric guitar. At the age of 17 she
discovered her passion for the drums. She gathered experiences in several band workshops
and played the drums in a rock band. Additionally she started singing.
She composed her first song at the age of 14 and had composed 80 songs already when she
met with Reto. Using a Fostex 16-track recorder, microphone, digital Yamaha electronic
piano and Roland sound module (different instruments, synthesizer, vocals), she completed
the songs to whole arrangements, composed, arranged, played, recorded and produced all
by herself. She also composed 2 Musicals. Since she is together with Reto, they compose the
new songs mostly together.
Reto
Keys, guitars, bass programming, backing vocals, composing, lyrics.
Born 1964 in Zofingen, Switzerland. Started to play piano and trumpet in his childhood. First
TV appearance at the age of 13. First recordings at the age of 14. Joined his first rock band at
the age of 17 as keyboarder. Played for many years in several different bands and jam
sessions with a lot of people as keyboarder and guitar player.
He composed his first song at the age of 12, started recording with a Teac 4-track recorder
on his own and later worked together with other home- and semi-professional studios. He
had composed more than 50 songs by the time he met with Curry and since then is
composing new songs mostly together with her.

Midnight Shine’s third album comes out February 23, 2018, with two different producers on the project: John-Angus MacDonald (The Trews) recorded seven songs with the band at Jukasa Studios in Six Nations, and Tim Vesely (Rheostatics) recorded two tracks at The Woodshed in Toronto (studio owned by Blue Rodeo).

Midnight Shine kicked off their first-ever tour at 2017 RBC Ottawa Bluesfest on the mainstage, prior to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. They also played Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver, Guelph, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and more.
Three tracks reached #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown – Sister Love, In the Midst and Northern Man. The band’s debut single Since You Been Gone climbed to #2, and follow up single Over You peaked at #9.
Adrian Sutherland – a self-taught hockey player – was offered a spot in the 2017 JUNO Cup in Ottawa, and performed at JUNO Cup Jam. His high-level hockey skills got him invited back for 2018 JUNO Cup, this time in Vancouver.

Biographie :

Human has been created by Franck LIGABUE  at the end of. Franck author, composer, performer, expresses and unveils his lived sensitive experience in this new musical creation : perceptions, feelings, impressions, images are revealed. This unique, deeply human universe, created and proposed to the world, is the product of a singular journey.

Franck was born on the 6^th of October 1974, he starts music at the age of 8 years by 4 years of piano and 2 years of trombone ; His father was director of a music school and musician himself. Franck's family has several artists such as his great cousin Luciano LIGABUE, Italian Pop singer, director, screenwriter, writer. Quickly Franck leaves the classical learning system to become self-taught on drums, guitar, and bass. At age 17, passionate and determined, he expresses to his father his decision to become a musician, his father accepts this choice and asks him what instrument he would like to play, Franck answers drums and the next day his father returns to him to offer his first drumkit. From 1992 to 2002, he played in numerous dance balls that drive him to jam in 1994 with Claude NOUGARO, French jazz singer. This unlikely encounter brought him to be open to the pleasure of sharing whatever the musical style. What has not ceased to be obvious for Franck is the pleasure and the importance for him to play with others.

Franck starts to play in group at 12 years to never leave this type of line-up: bass player in “Precious Stones” (1989-1992: covers of Beatles, Stones...); Singer in “Merry Christmas” (1992-1994: Pop rock covers, ZZ Top, Queen...); Bass player in “Hell in Brain” (1992-1993: Heavy Metal compositions); Drummer and guitarist in “Funeraëll” (1995-1999: Gothic Metal compositions); Drummer and guitarist in “Soror Dolorosa” (2001-2002, 2007-2017: Cold Wave, Death Rock compositions).

    

Franck built his own personal identity through his career as a confirmed musician. It was with Soror Dolorosa that he managed to truly set free his creative sensitivity. Determined, involved, applied, he participates in Soror Dolorosa in the realization of an EP in 2009 "Severance", 3 LPs between 2011 and 2017 "Blind Scene", "No More Heroes", "Apollo", a live DVD "Rive Gauche" in 2017. Soror Dolorosa opened for Alcest on the “soul wandering tour” in 2012 and participated in numerous European festivals such as WGT, Dark Bombastik, Entremuralhas, Semana Gothica, Castle party...    

Today, rich of these experiences, this artist uses means of expression in a line-up that suit him.

Human is the culmination of this singular journey, this project comes to you simply, without emphasis, like the artist who expresses himself there. Human's first self-titled album takes the listener into the world of a man who delivers, in a shameless way, his introspective travel through the meanders of his being. A universe set in a sensitive, sensible, disturbing, touching landscape.
Through Cold-wave, post-punk and Goth-rock compositions, Human's music speaks of human nature through all its facets. Like self awareness (Last exit before the crash), the feeling of lack of control over life (Feeding the ocean), the fear of death (Hypnophobia), the regrets related to the passing of time (The Wheel), the phantasm of the great love (Quai des Etroits), introspection (Cage the monster), access to happiness (This part of me), the loss of a loved one (Window pain) or the need of living (Breakin 'up the shackles).

the Band

Second Hand Arms Dealer are ahugely driven, diverse and talented band from Bristol. Formed in 2017 from an established band, Goodnight Lois, we truly believe we have the recipe for producing and delivering groundbreaking music and we look pretty damn cool in doing it.

Drawing from multiple different influences means the range of music is vast. From Rage Against The Machine to Ben Howard there are no limitations to the sound we produce.

We are comprised of: Sam Schofield on Drums. Jordan Shortman on Guitar and Joe Spurrell on Bass and vocals. Schofield adds flavour to his drums with counter rhythms which play with and taunt the listener. Shortman juxtaposes heavy and thundering chorus riffs with beautifully crafted verse melodies running through his intricate pedal board to create a sonic wonder. While Spurrell connects the two with sporadic and funky bass lines, while drawing the listener close with his soft voice only to unleash the full power of his blues rock inspired, angst driven, edge of your seat vocals.

2018

2018 promises to be a huge year for us, we are showcasing our intense live soundon a more regular basis, whilst continuing to increase our social media profile. We have already received airplay on over 40 stations, including our first three single being aired on BBC introducing. We expect that exposure to grow exponentially as we continue to grow our fanbase, social media profile and our list of contacts in the MusicIndustry.

With a February release date planned for our first EP and availability of our music on digital distribution services and YouTube, we have the building blocks in place to increasinglyestablish our name, sound, imageand brand.

The music

The feedback we have received music released so far has been fantastic, and all that have seen us live are blown away by the intensity and talent on display. Reviews have been first rate with Chatsong proclaiming ‘I have the feeling hard rock, punk, rock labels, radio stations and fans will love their music and they will probably soon have a label and attract massive radio airplay, gigs etc.’

The Freddy James Band is a new Rock psychedelic fusion group from the U.K. The band was formed in 2014 by Freddy James. The Freddy James Band has been doing various recording sessions to bring you a new vibrant sound. Debut single "She don't like Rock n Roll" was recorded by Alan Bleay at Abbey Road Studios. It was released in April 2015 by Matchbox Records and distributed via Universal Music Group. STRATOS

Stratos es una banda valenciana de música que aglutina diversas influencias que van desde el Rock mas genuino hasta las raices blues de las cuales absorven distintos matices siempre desde el prisma "Strato". La banda fue creada en 2012 por Richard Andrés (voz y armónica) y Javier Zamora (guitarra), que se conocieron de anteriores formaciones, decidiendo construir un nuevo proyecto.Tras reclutar los músicos idoneos,(Javier Garcia al bajo, Javi Rubio bateria y Juan a la guitarra), se lanzaron a componer y grabar lo que seria su primer album homónimo al nombre de la banda "Stratos", (disponible en stratosvlc.bandcamp.com). El siguiente paso fué dedicarse a componer su segundo álbum "The Storm". Esta vez con un sonido mas contundente y composiciones mas trabajadas. Whitehall, Belgian band, is to be founded by Scratch and Sebastien, in 2014, both lovers of true rock and roll, their influences are bands like led zeppelin, Deep purple, Jeff beck, Rival Sons. After their respective bands broke up they decided to join their envy to create a band of their own with power full guitar riffs, detonating drums and bass fill, and lyrics worth the try… after a few live gigs they decided to record their own songs, they recorded “comin’ for you” and “you’re all I need” studio version with the former version of whitehall faith as given them the opportunity to encounter the path of Mario Zola as their new drummer followed by Marc Alabasse as their bass player. Mawcore: The Butterflied Effect Life can be disappointing and difficult. Music is an avenue by which man can find hope again. Mawcore does just that. From the Hebrew word, meaning “Wellspring”, Mawcore taps into the central line of the hopeless, with a continual supply of hope and life, through faith-based lyrics and a mended-heart filled message. It is a Modern Hard Art-Rock band pulling in core elements of grinding guitars, pulsing bass, pounding drums, layered electronica sounds and soring vocals. It draws upon musical influences from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and carries into the present day, stretching and barreling onward towards eternity. Mawcore was formed from the ashes of the former internationally distributed band, Blushing Well, who shared their music with thousands all around the world. They shared the stage with Skillet, Red, Disciple, Seventh Day Slumber, Jeremy Camp, Pillar and countless others. Their music was distributed internationally through Nightmare Records and played by radio stations in The Philippines, Yugoslavia, Norway, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Italy and the United States. Although the past had crumbled, the three remaining members Joshua, Jeremy and Jeff found themselves with wounds being healed by the music within their core. Being joined by a variety of other musicians and eventually now permanent guitarist Ben, and the programming talents of Chris, they crafted a sound uniquely their own. Each member brings their own reason to keep them going:  Jeremy: “For me, life without music is no life at all. I breathe it. I live it. Being in Mawcore is an amplifier for the music in my head”; Ben: “Music has shown me that there is a way to overcome fears and insecurities. When faith is tested, there is strength to be found in music with a message”; Jeff: “There is new life when the musician gets to share the journey with his offspring. The journey grows deeper and the passion more fervent when you are fighting the life of others”; Joshua “If you cut me, I bleed music! This is such a deep part of my healing and knowing that we are sharing this healing with others, has made it all the more intense”; Chris: “The things that once made me feel undone and hurt, I now use to embrace others in their healing. This new journey has played a part in helping me believe that there is always hope and redemption”.  These passionate members are fueling the forward motion that is Mawcore!

Baum Jr. To Release Second Double A-Side Single, Due Out This March On Friday 3rd March, independent artist Baum Jr. will release his second double a-side single. Including an imagination of his own and a re-imagination of an existing song, his music embodies a newly-invented genre: ‘Next-Gen 8-bit’, a style that calls its influence from the game soundtracks and film scores of the 1980’s, and fuses them with modern noises and rock rhythms. “Filled with an electrifying atmosphere that is just stunningly attractive” – JamSphere Magazine ‘The Sunset & the Coalpit’ is an explosive original track, written and performed entirely by Baum Jr. The song takes you on a journey through hell and back, interweaving electronic arrangements chock full of synthesisers, bleeps and bloops, bombastic acoustic drums, and tactful, edgy vocals. This is a song for the times the world turns dark so fast you don’t even realised it happened until you’re already there. The infectious tune is coupled with the fantastic ‘Foundations’, a cover of Apologies, I Have None, a punk quartet from East London known for their heart wrenchingly honesty lyrics. ‘Foundations is a stark contrast to the opening track, combining lush pads and twinkling leads with heartbeat drums, creating a sound that draws all the attention to the raw and open lyrical content. Baum Jr.’s take on the track stands tall as a remarkable original effort unto itself. “The hooks are wonderfully strong and the atmosphere is dynamic, songs that have tons of building, payoffs and excitement as you listen” – Sleeping Bag Studios Earlier this year, Baum Jr. debuted on the indie music scene with his double a-side. ‘When I Grow Up’ was an electro re-imagination of the 1998 Garbage song, accented by ‘Heroes’, an original track that masterfully complemented the opening track. Now with his latest release, Baum Jr. is about to stamp his electronic wax seal onto music scene with ‘The Sunset & the Coalpit’ and ‘Foundations’.
