Sumeru
“Summon Destroyer”
Biography:
A band known for their passionately fierce and ear crushing live shows, Sumeru’s onstage energy
is exerted with an almost fanatical dedication that it verges on a cult-like rite of sonic exorcism and
visceral upheaval. Add in the long-crafted musicianship of each member of this Sydney 5 piece,
their ability to peel subconscious layers off of their audiences was apparent since their inception in
2009. Having shared the stage with foreign imports and domestic legends such YOB, Torche, Nick
Oliveri (back up band & support), Windhand, Nails, Blood Duster, Beastwars, IEXIST and Lo!
Sumeru now stand firmly grounded in the Australian heavy music underground as a defining force
of pure riff fury and indomitable low-end groove.
‘Summon Destroyer’
“An evolution of descent for Sumeru into much darker and unholy territory, ‘Summon Destroyer’
sees a turning away from the light of their well-known craftings of bluesy riff-sick grooves, and a
return to more blackened doom and deathly roots.Evermore crushing than previous offerings,
Sumeru’s next level of newly discovered ferocity is backed by a lyrical spirituality that seeks to take
listeners minds beyond any self-imposed jurisdictions they might impose on themselves. And if
their patient beginnings and ability to constantly push themselves into new territory showed
Sumeru’s maturity, ‘Summon Destroyer’ highlights a musicianship full of integrity and an ability to
produce an album free from the pretense of the manufactured modern day.
This is live and real sound, there is no facade here.”

Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate – New Single
Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate – New Single
Our new Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate double A-side single is now available as a pre-release digital download on Bandcamp.
The first song is Stand Up, a defiant song about standing up to dehumanisation of others, and remembering the lessons of history. There's a video for this at www.youtube.com/watch?v=naEbnnxWe3o
'When I Was A Ship' was inspired by Ann Leckie's Imperial Radch series. The main character had once been a warship, whose artificial mind had been distributed within the ship, and also within many ancillaries - prisoners who have had their minds wiped. The ship itself and all of the other ancillaries was destroyed, leaving just one fragment of the mind left in one body.
There is also a bonus track that is currently a Bandcamp exclusive - Petal. It is admittedly an odd jazzy instrumental, and won't be to everyone's tastes, but I like it, and it is a freebie, so hopefully nobody will be too annoyed by it.
The artwork is based on an image by the amazing Mike Winklemann (www.beeple-crap), adapted by Malcolm Galloway and Mark Gatland.

Bibeau's "The Color Blue"
Bibeau's "The Color Blue" is the music elixir for melancholy just in time for summer's end.
Bibeau Release New Single “The Color Blue,” Featured with Metallica, Joan Jett on
“Honor Amongst Men” Motion Picture Soundtrack
Bibeau's (Pronounced “be-bow”, “bebo”) "The Color Blue" is the music elixir for melancholy just in time for summer's end. Texas rock band Bibeau will release a new single and music video for the song "The Color Blue" from their self-titled debut record. WATCH THE COLOR BLUE VIDEO HERE: https://youtu.be/Hw4QSxaTOzs
Bibeau’s music and the band will be featured in the motion picture “Honor Amongst Men” (formerly Dinosaur) as well as on the motion picture soundtrack along with music by Joan Jett and Metallica.
“Honor Amongst Men” is a dramatic thriller about a day in the life of a veteran police officer who is trying to juggle his turbulent home life, the daily stresses of his job, and the apparent and inevitable biker war that's about to engulf his hometown. Starring Robert Clohessy, Joan Jett, Edward Asner, Chuck Zito. Directed By: Fred Carpenter, Written By: Edward C. Wahl, Fred Carpenter.
A music video for the Bibeau song, “Titanium White” (from the motion picture “Honor Amongst Men”) has been filmed which features the band performing along with clips from the motion picture.
Bibeau mystify listeners with atmospheric melodies over adventurously progressive, powerful
dynamics that create an undeniably epic wall of sound that has become the Texans’ trademark.
Rounded out with a strong lineup of like minded, gifted musicians, Bibeau set out to create a unique
progressive sound highlighting melody mixed with complex time signatures, rhythms and
arrangements. Lead by a dual guitar approach with soulful, soaring vocals and a rhythm section willing to push the boundaries, Bibeau began to craft, record and perform their own material to a growing legion of fans. Bibeau can be best described as a musical bridge between the classic power metal and classic rock from the '70's and '80's combined with the edge and attitude of today's modern
progressive metal. Hailing from East Texas, Bibeau manages to sound unlike anyone else around
anywhere, mature, driven and poised for success with a purpose.
The video was directed by Justin Mosley at Dark Letter Entertainment. Justin, who directed all of
the band's music videos, including "Mark This", "Phantom of the Opera" and “Leeway”. He also wrote, produced and directed the film, "The Devil's Deal", which was recently released internationally through Lionsgate Films. Along with "The Color Blue" video, Bibeau has four new videos in production including “Titanium White” (from the motion picture “Honor Amongst Men”), “Gris Gris”, “End of Us,
End of Time” and “A Brand New Shade.
Justin Mosley explains the concept in a nutshell; "The Color Blue" is loosely inspired by the
melancholy that arises from a relationships end and the dichotomy between the darkness and the
seemingly desperate search for a return to splendor. When you watch the video, the red and blue will
distinguish the two separate realities and the false sense of happiness that comes along as an attempt
to alleviate the depression through various means, represented by the box and the content within.”

Mosaic Rain new single: "Jesus Ways"
Mosaic Rain
Recordings Announces Release of Inspirational new Single From Mast of Glorious
“Jesus Ways”
Emerging
songwriter Tre Carn is back on the scene
with his latest composition for Mosaic Rain Recording's “Jesus Ways”,
continuing his streak of uplifting work that is building an ever growing number
of fans to his Christ-inspired sound.
June
19, 2018
With a huge chunk of
music being focused on everything but the positive, many people are searching
for something deeper while still being able to entertain. That's something
music industry mainstay Tre Carn has a bit of experience in, moving from
running a successful A&R consultancy, returning to his original talent
songwriting, he’s now the lead in-house writer and producer for Mosaic
Rain Recordings'.
In exciting news Tre, Christian music artist Mast of Glorious and Mosaic Rain
Recordings recently celebrated the release of their hypnotic new single “Jesus
Ways”, a song that carries an uplifting positive message about maintaining
faith in the face of temptation.
“It's
the amount of faith and belief a person has that determines whether or not
they’ll succumb to Satan's traps. He's always searching for that grey area ”
commented Tre. “I tried to get that
message across in a fun, imaginative way on the new single 'Jesus Ways'. I hope it raises spirits and helps bring
listeners closer to God's grace.”
Mast
of Glorious delivers a blend of different styles that combine for a quite
compelling effect. On “Jesus Ways”, elements
of Christian, Rock, Folk, Pop and Country, all come together for a powerful
effect. “Jesus Ways” follows up the
successful “He Has Come”, another Mosaic Rain release that celebrates the power
Jesus can have in changing a person's life for the better.
Early
feedback for “Jesus Ways” has been positive across the board.
Michelle
S., from Utah, recently said in a five-star review, “Mast of Glorious is
something very special. They don't seem
to follow any of the traditional rules of songwriting and just do what comes
from the heart and deliver a special and unique sound. 'Jesus Ways' is my favorite worship song at
the moment. It has a very modern sound, I think it will do well in bringing a
younger audience to Christian music. Fully recommended.” JESUS WAYS arrives at all
digital platforms 6/15.

The three-piece’s influences include: Nirvana, Manic Street Preachers, Future

Biography:
F.U.A. is
a Dutch light and heavy punk creation of four friends who are all self-taught
musicians. The band started by accident when drummer Sander Pietersen was
practicing with his friend at a local bar. That same day singer Daphne De Heij
walked past and interested by the sounds, entered the bar. It did not take long
before she grabbed a microphone and bursted out some self-written lyrics. Later
F.U.A. was fully formed when bass player Robbert Van Der Bijl and eventually
guitarist Mitchell Verschoor joined the group. The band started creating their
own songs while simultaneously learning to play as a band. When F.U.A. had just
one song they immediatly performed it live without second thought. The audience
really liked the way the band presented itself. Generally having a good time
and doing crazy on stage with easy to remember sing- along songs. F.U.A then
quickly started to grow as a small underground punkrock band. The demo released
in 2015, while in low quality, was immediately sold-out. Armed with their own
style F.U.A. took over the Dutch city of Purmerend as the go-to punkrock band.
With this newly gained popularity the band traveled all-over The Netherlands to
perform on many venues, bars and festivals. Mitchell Verschoor joined the band
at a later stage and started writing songs specifically for Daphne’s singing.
It proved very succesfull after the song ‘Cheers’ became a major turning point for the band.
Daphne and Mitchell are mostly behind the lyrics of the songs. This means that
alot of different views are taken into the music. F.U.A was also never shy
about themselves and posted all kinds of video’s online. Some were funny
moments while others were low-quality videos of shows. They just wanted to
share all the good times with the world. Because of this online presence F.U.A.
got approached by Italian music producer Corvi Wahoomy, from Realsound Studios
and Carlo Bellotti, owner at record label Wormholedeath, in 2016. Bellotti
asked the band for a newer demo.
Agreeing
to Bellotti’s request the band spend alot of time recording this demo, but the
sound was still low quality. Still Bellotti saw alot of potential in F.U.A. as
he fell in love with the energy and sound of the band, especially the song
"Cheers" . He wanted the band to record a fully fledged album with
Corvi at RealSound Studio in Langhirano, Italy. The band, again agreeing,
started writing an entire year and finally entered the studio in January 2018.
Working together with talented producers Coruzzi Christian and Corvi Wahoomy,
the fruit of the band’s labors have payed off. The album, containing 14 songs,
was exactly what everyone had envisioned. With many influences in all kinds of
rock. It's a fast and heavy creation with an unique style unheard of in the
world of punk. F.U.A. is planning to release this album on a worldwide scale on
the 28th of Septembre, 2018 via Wormholedeath.

From:
Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland
Members: Colly Dempsey – vocals, Mark O’ Dwyer –
guitars, Tom Maher – guitars/backing vocals, Niall O’ Shaughnessy –
bass/backing vocals, David Fitzpatrick – drums
The band
formed over ten years ago in county Tipperary, Ireland and have had a lot of success
over the years playing festivals and club gigs the length and breadth of the country
and beyond, sharing the stage with some of the biggest acts in the world
including The Who, Arctic Monkeys and Paul Weller amongst others.
Jester
have just signed a publishing deal with UK independent record label Velvet
Moron Records, the brainchild of Dave White, technician for Biffy Clyro, Noel
Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Kasabian, etc.
They first
entered onto the music scene in '07 when debut single “Maria” charted in the IMRA
top 40 Irish Chart. Single no.2, "Scream", also saw them climb the
charts yet again, reaching number 18 in the IRMA Irish Singles chart at a time
when the charts actually meant something.
A high
point of 2009 for Jester was storming to victory at the prestigious Sea
Sessions Irish Unsigned Act Competition in June. The prize ranged from working
with the best producers and promoters within the music industry, to recording
time in Grouse Lodge.
More
recently Jester won the battle of the bands with the main prize being to play
at Ireland’s prestigious Electric Picnic which the band coincided with the
release of their new EP Little Run Down showcasing three new tracks, Little Run
Down, Shadows Need A Light and Sea Saw.
‘’This
Tipp band are tipped to go to the top’’ (Joe.ie)
“Jester
know how to take a song on the town & show it a good time” (Hotpress)
‘’An
absolute stomper’’ Today FM’s Dermot & Dave on Jester track Sea Saw which
was
their
Homegrown Hero track of the week...
If its
big choruses, a wall of sound and lyrics with some depth you’re after you`ve
come to the right place. As a band Jester write catchy rock songs with huge
choruses that will stay in your head for days on end along with darker thought
provoking cinematic moments that transport the listener to another world at
times. The general theme of the lyrics by singer Colly hint at darkness in
places with a chance of redemption, the happy side of sad.
There's
always a light somewhere and it’s never going out.
In a
music world dominated by throwaway bubble-gum pop and singer songwriters
moaning about being dumped by their girlfriend Jester offer a place of solace
for the old school dreamer that rock n roll does still indeed exist and is very
much alive. There`s still a place in the music world for guitar music written
by five friends in a shed that’s not in any way manufactured.
Jester
are the flag carriers in 2018 for those still in love with the notion that
music comes from the soul and there`s nobody around that puts on a better live
rock and roll show than these boys with the wall of sound the band create
cashing the cheques being written by their outspoken frontman.
With
their debut album currently being tidied up with a release being touted for
early 2019 on Velvet Moron Records. Jester have a shed load of anthems on the
way. It’s time to rejoice and thank whatever God you believe in because the
Irish saviours of rock and roll
have just rolled into town.

old predictable

Rob Palladino releases debut album ‘Spirit Trail’
Rob Palladino releases debut album ‘Spirit Trail’
Following
on the heels of his 2017 E.P. ‘Half the Time’ (which he sees as “a really solid
start”), ‘Spirit Trail’ is a big change in terms of writing and production.
“‘Half
the Time’ was light in terms of my writing style. It was my first attempt at
writing songs and it showed. ‘It’s You’ is a nice, bouncy sing-along but it
sounds naïve to me now, and that’s as it should be.
“Robert
Campbell, who produced it, did an absolutely brilliant job with what I was
giving him; and as experienced as I was in terms of studio work (I was a
drummer for 30-odd years), I had no idea what I was doing in terms of
production, mixing, all the technical stuff. He carried the whole project
basically.
“As I
say, though, it’s very light stylistically, and I felt a change in my writing
style coming on little-by-little. The newer songs were taking on a hard rock,
almost metal, feel. ‘King Death,’ ‘Stage Fright’ were appearing and I wasn’t
sure Robert was too into where I was going.
“He’s
a much more blues/folk-based guy which wasn’t the direction I was headed. I
made the decision that it was possibly time to look elsewhere for a producer
who wanted to throw the kitchen sink in, but I had no idea where to look. Then
I met Rob Jones…”
Rob considers
Jones to be a true maverick and “someone that can anticipate your next move and
act on it before you even know what it is.”
“Rob
is very talented. He’s an exceptional musician, producer, arranger and writer
in his own right. He champions unknown and unsigned musicians that need a light
shone on them which he does with relish and huge enthusiasm. He’s a rare find
in these days of cynical money grabbers. He genuinely loves what he does, plus
he’s a total headcase, which appealed to me straight away!”
Meeting
through an appearance on Jones’s local radio show, the two got on almost immediately,
and started discussing the possibility of recording an album.
“I
sent him some demos of ‘King Death,’ and ‘Belief.’ He liked them, and we decided
to start the process that eventually became this album.
“We’re
both huge Queen fans, and fans of hard rock in general, so the idea of going
mental in the studio appealed to us. It iswithout doubt an “everything but the
kitchen sink album,” except we ended up throwing the kitchen sink in as well!
It was a joy to make and a very positive time.
“It
was a case of whatever idea either one of us had, we tried. If it worked it
stayed on, no matter how over-the-top it was. I didn’t want this to be an
acoustic album. The market is soaked with those type of albums, and I find them
drab to be honest, so we took it totally the other way. I think it worked and
it’s everything I wanted it to be.”
There
are many examples of how the sessions developed into a “more is more” project,
as Rob puts it.
The
aforementioned ‘King Death’ is a breathless, uncompromising metal
tour-de-force. “Lyrically, it’s an open letter to humanity from the Grim
Reaper. He’s giving us examples of how he’ll always be there, he is forever, as
he puts it. Meeting him is an inevitability; it just depends on how it
happens.”
The
single ‘Belief’ is quite different. “It’s a song of pure hate wrapped up in
this fun pop/punk style. Lyrically, it’s about no-one, but it’s about everyone.
It’s universal and personal all at once. We’ve all been angry like that, but looking
at the lyrics now, it is pretty psychotic!”
It’s
the title track, however, that is getting more attention than any other song on
the album.
‘Spirit
Trail’ is Palladino’s ten-and-a-half-minute prog epic. “Bands like Rush,
Kansas, and Queen all wrote as they felt. There was never any pandering. It was
always about the music, which is just as it should be. I guess it’s a sort of tribute
to those bands and that type of music, although I never once planned it that
way.
“The
song itself, from idea to finished article, took about three years to write. I
just liked the title to begin with; I saw it somewhere, and I thought it
sounded mysterious and interesting, so I used it.
“It
went through about a million different incarnations. I would get lyrical ideas,
go so far with them and then drop them. Musically, it went from instrumental to
pop song back to instrumental; the lyrics just eluded me, they just refused to
come. It’s been a long, drawn out process.”
It was
while watching a beloved relative in their hospital bed, a few days before they
passed, that set the lyrical idea in motion.
“It
was a very sombre scene, as these moments always are. For some reason, I saw
something else in that moment. It was a ‘what if?’ that came to mind, really.
“Despite
the fact the person seemed so ‘far away,’ as it were, the thought occurred to
me that what if something else was going on inside their mind.
“Are
they thinking coherently to themselves, and not able to voice those thoughts,
or are they just as we see them? I went for the former simply because it gave
me more scope to develop the idea lyrically. It went on from there and it just
flowed. It took me about a week or so to complete after that. It’s just how it
works I guess; inspiration comes from experiences.”
It was
during the recording of the album that the song took on a deeper meaning than
perhaps even Rob had originally thought it would.
“As we
were recording the album a couple of friends of mine lost close members of
their families. There were moments during its recording when this song seemed
to touch them on a personal level.
“It really
struck me how deep this song could go and what kind of weight it could have. It
seemed to give their relatives a voice somehow and, in turn, their reaction to
it touched me. I never expected it and it moved me tremendously.”
Musically,
it’s pure progressive rock indulgence. “I asked my friend, Simon Cook, to
provide tenor vocals for it. His performance literally sends shivers down my
spine. It’s beyond beautiful. He gave it every emotion he had. It’s astonishing.
“We
used all kinds of studio trickery too; tubular bells, bird song, all sorts of
weird and wonderful effects. It’s a touching and heartfelt piece to be sure,
but it also makes me laugh at how musically OTT it is. It’s just nuts!”
With
cover art provided by Rob’s friend from Austin, TX, Andrea Pramuk, which he
calls “a truly beautiful, dark, emotive, haunting but hopeful image,” ‘Spirit
Trail’ is a representation of a songwriter that has achieved something truly
special.
“This
album wears many masks, but it’s honest and, despite the huge production, very
raw. I’ve laid myself bare musically and lyrically and I’m very proud of it.
It’s taken a lot of time, emotion, self-doubt, love, hate, fallingand getting
up again, to finish it, but here it is. Even though I’ve had many talented
people helping with it, I consider it absolutely my own work.
“Even
if I never make another album, or record anything else, I’ve created a legacy
through these songs. I’ve time-stamped a period of my life that I’ll never see again,
and I feel liberated because of that. It’s all been worth it. Every single
minute.”
‘Spirit Trail’ is now available for download on all
platforms with a special edition CD release also available.
