The
most notorious Liverpool street gang of the 1890's was The High Rip. Fast
forward 120 years and it would seem little has changed. On a cocktail of post
punk energy and melodic intensity, The High Rip remain a force to be reckoned
with.
'The High Rip are pure and very genuine
quality ...great songs that have meaning, purpose and soul...'
‘Nothing is worth doing unless you have
a reason to do it that means something. The High Rip have that honesty.’
Formed in Liverpool in 2016 and often to be found
frequenting the drinking dens of Dale Street and Hackins Hey, The High Rip are
planning to do more Liverpool shows in 2018 after spending 2017 performing
across the north-west. They recently had their first BBC airplay and are now working
on new recordings
