  Biography

  Love Child hail from Sydney, Australia, combining old school rock influences with a touch of blues and a modern attitude.

  Striving to recreate classic  roc k sounds, combining influences from both sides of the Atlantic , infusing Motown whilst adding an Australian blues edge to the mix. Its wild, it’s soulful, it’s powerful, raw & it’s memorable, you can dance to it. Some may say it’s the ultimate combination of musical experience in a live platform. 

  The band consists of enigmatic front man, Steve Hancock, (Vocals/Harp) driven by Guitarist Dennis Val, supported by the rhythm section Garry Daglish on Bass and James Pool on Drums.

  With consistent exposure to radio, community events, festivals, clubs and pubs, the band is spreading their brand of rock (with an ounce of melancholic blues) to appreciative audiences in every corner of the country.

  2014 introduced the band with ""Circus in Town " to glowing reviews worldwide and the start of heavy airplay .

   2016 saw the release of Love Child’s 2nd album “A Whole Lotta Sassy” (which followed their debut “Circus in Town”) out now on iTunes through Laneway Music. Produced by Grammy Nominee, Sammy Kannis “A Whole Lotta Sassy” was received with rave reviews Worldwide and by the end of the year, they were Number One on Radio Indie Alliance Charts in UK and USA with their singles, “Watching The River Flow” and “Like A Child”. 

  Early 2018 the band released ''Lose Your Way'' by world class producer Craig Porteils and this was instantly added to high rotation worldwide charting on major independent radio particularly in the Southern Belt of the USA. Current airplay includes England, USA, Ireland, Scotland, France, Denmark, Belgium, Norway, Germany, South Africa, Brazil and New Zealand.
