GREGORY M HURLEY

www.onlyrockradio.com
GREGORY M HURLEY
singer, songwriter, slide guitarist, producer, and multi instrumentalist
Greg Hurley's passion for harmonies and guitar began when he was 10 years old. Inspired
by the Beatles, his life long love of music and his pursuit of playing it, was enabled by his brother,
who gave him his first guitar, an acoustic that allowed him to practice and delve further into his
growing devotion to creation and performance.
By his early teens, he formed a band and began playing gigs. Although his audience at that time was
made up of Junior High kids, the electrifying experience of playing live further ignited his passion.
Eventually he grew as a musician and with influences such as George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Steely
Dan, Jeff Lynne and many others. After high school Greg devoted himself to his craft, his band and
live performance.

Although the need for stability and a "real" job came with family and life responsibilities, he still
played with a band as often as possible. After 16 years he “semi-retired" from playing live and
focused on building a home studio. Over the last 8 years he has been writing, recording and
producing on his own, melting together all his learnings from playing classic rock and blues. The
result: his debut album titled “SEAFOAM”.
Gregory Michael Hurley is a United States ASCAP Artist.

Brina Kay

  1. What's your name?
Brina Kay Miller (Brina Kay is what I use for my stage name)

Where are you from?
I am originally from Schaumburg Illinois but I've spend the past four years in Lincoln Nebraska.

Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.
I've had quite the journey! I've always been an artistic person. I learned to play the violin when I was in kindergarten and was always involved in musical theatre, dance and choir. I was also always a strong writer. I did very well in my English and writing classes and I really enjoyed poetry. Looking back, it's clear now that I was always meant to be a songwriter. However, it took me a while to realize it's actually what I wanted to do as a career and not just as a hobby. I came to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln initially as a broadcast journalism major. I went from that to a theatre directing major and ended up graduating with a degree in advertising and public relations. However, I was again involved in music and writing all throughout college for my minors (English and liberal arts) and finally realized it's where my heart was. I had my first song produced the summer of my sophomore year of college, and have since produced three more. I'm moving to Nashville in July to get further involved and not only fine tune my writing but understand the music business as a whole. I'm very excited for what is to come and I can't wait to share my new music with everyone.

Tell us about your musical style, influences,
I call my style "contemporary country." I love country music because I think lyrically it is a lot stronger than most genres, and that is because of the storytelling aspect of it. I try to tell a story with every song I write. I say I'm contemporary because I definitely have pop influences in my music as well, although I do try to always involve distinguishable country instruments. I'm definitely a northern city/suburban girl, so you won't hear me writing about small towns and tractors (although those songs are great!) I write about my own experiences. Some of my influences are Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks and Miranda Lambert. My goal is never to be "the next ____" and I'm really just trying to have my own sound, but I love the way these women can be both edgy/sassy in their music as well as opened and vulnerable and have it come across genuine and authentic either way. I always say that my music aims to celebrate the human experience, and that involves an array of emotions. I think both of these women balance that quite well. I also really love Rascal Flatts. It doesn't matter what they do, their music always invokes some kind of emotion whether it's extreme joy or sadness. insturmentally, vocally, lyrically, they just really have it all down to a science.

What has been your last project?
The next single I have coming out is called "Heartbreak Gambling." It's a really fun song about the frustrations you go through watching your friend keep running back to a guy you can clearly see is just messing with her head/playing with her heart. I've seen this happen to so many of my friends and I'm sure a lot of people out there can relate to this situation. Like a gambler on a bad night, this friend keeps losing but refuses to call it quits. She believes she can eventually win if she keeps playing, but you know she's just digging herself into a deeper hole! I'll be releasing this song on June 1st and I can't wait.

And the next thing you have planned?
I have two more songs I'd like to produce before my move to Nashville. I'm excited because these next two are happier songs than my previous releases and will really bring home the story of my first EP. This first EP has been an experimental one. I'm really just trying to hone in on my sound and figure out what works. I love sharing my music with the world but I'm really doing this first batch of songs for me. This EP will represent my story and journey to finding myself, and I will be so happy to see it all complete. Beyond that, I've been performing with an acoustic duo called the "Gunnison Drive Band." It consists of a guitar player (Mark Hansen) and another singer (Colton Wehrs.) These guys have been absolutely amazing to work with. I originally met them at an open mic event, and we've done some open mics together as well as a few gigs. I hope to keep working with them because we've had a lot of fun together. Attached is a photo of them and their gig schedule. I also have a music video for my song "Nothing on the Radio" and a lyric video for my song "Trapped" in the works. Progress has been slow because the people involved in helping me were also college students and we were all really busy, but now that school is out I'm looking forward to finishing those projects up. Beyond that I will be posting covers on youtube and instagram, so be sure to give me a follow ;)

What else?
I really can't wait to move down to Nashville and get involved in the songwriting scene there. I know this is what I want and need to do for the rest of my life and I will do whatever I can to grow into the artist I know I can be. I love collaborating with people and am ready to take on this new adventure!

Steve Bello

What's your name?
--Steve Bello Where are you from?
North Arlington, NJ but live in Ramsey, NJ now

Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now.
I originally wasn't serious about guitar when I started at the age of 9. When I saw footage of Jimi Hendrix burning his Strat, as well as Ritchie Blackmore on MTV, I had to be a guitarist for life. Played in a bunch of local bands, covers and originals. Turned professional in 1988 and after many years of searching for bands, I unintentionally started one (sounds weird but true). I've been doing instrumental music since 2003 with my first cd TWISTED METAL, and just released my 7th album MARBLEHEAD on May 15, 2018

Tell us about your musical style, influences, ...
As a kid, before I touched a guitar, I was into Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Queen, Kiss...typical 70s stuff. Got into heavy metal when I was 12 and that was "my" music. My guitar influences were Hendrix, Blackmore, as well as Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Vernon Reid, Uli Jon Roth. On the non-metal side, I got into John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola, Prince, Eliot Fisk. My musical style is something I call "progmetalfunk", basically if Living Colour and Steve Vai crashed a Pantera show.

What has been your last project?
I released my newest cd MARBLEHEAD and that's been keeping me busy, between doing promotions for it and selling copies as well
And the next thing you have planned?
I hope to get a lot of big shows, maybe do a small tour if the funds and demand is there. Upcoming concerts, events ....

So far, July 21st at Roxy & Dukes Roadhouse in Dunellen, NJ. Will be playing the entire MARBLEHEAD album from top to bottom.

Primes Bio

PRIMES are an alternative rock three piece from Scotland formed in November 2017. Following in the footsteps of other hard hitting Scottish alternative rockers like Biffy Clyro and Twin Atlantic, PRIMES have a blend of unforgettable melodies, punchy chorus drops and the unique combination of three-way harmonies.

Debuting live in March 2018 to a sold-out headline slot in Scotland’s biggest unsigned venue King Tuts, PRIMES have continued to gig across Scotland’s music scene developing a notoriously loyal fan-base.

‘Breathe’, the debut single from PRIMES was released in February 2018 to an enthusiastic reception causing contagious outbursts of the chorus hook “Just Let Me Breathe” at all PRIMES live shows. Referred to as taken influence from Royal Blood, Kings Of Leon and Biffy Clyro, ‘Breathe’ has been described by Discovery Music Scotland as having a massive feel and an anthem like chorus.

PRIMES are releasing new music regularly with second single ‘Together Forever’ having been released in May 2018.

Primes are:
Ollie Kitchen (Lead Vocal & Bass)
Sarah Monteith-Skelton (Guitar)
Reece Ryan (Drums)

About The Band
Broken Stems’ sound is rooted heavily in blues and 70’s rock'n'roll music. The San Diego music scene has embraced their hard-hitting unapologetic shows with overwhelming support and Broken Stems have embraced their diverse fan-base as well. The music crosses generations with influences from Hendrix, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd but also reaches a younger generation that listen to the music of Jack White, Black Keys and Delta Saints. This diverse crowd is what makes the difference when you go to any Broken Stems show.
With the release of their first EP, “We Are Home” in late 2013 the five song EP quickly became an underground hit in the San Diego music scene and began bringing crowds to their shows around Southern California. In 2015 the band began working on their first follow-up album after doing a few tours through the west, performing on eight stages at South by Southwest and taking part in “Caravan to Cabo”, which was a two week tour through Mexico with six other bands where they donated instruments to orphanages and performed.

Broken Stems full length album, "What Are You Connected" was released November 2016 and featured the band's first single "Hear You Calling" which landed in the top 10 of iHeart Radio's Rising Star competition in 2016 and also got the band selected in the Top 10 Best Live Performances for the JBL Best American Band 2017. The album was recorded entirely in their garage and produced in-house by their keyboard player Brad Sweet.

Cory M Coons

It’s finally here! After travelling between Vancouver/Washington in the U.S. and Ottawa/Canada,
Cory M Coons hits it out of the ballpark with “Long Road (Deadman’s Dream)” – a strong edgy melodic rock song produced by veteran music producer Ron Nevison, (Heart, Bad Company, Damn Yankees, Survivor, Styx, Night Ranger).
Cory’s Bio, in short….
Cory continues to deliver memorable, well defined hooks and a timeless vocal character similar to many of his finished songs released. Growing up in Eastern Ontario (South of Ottawa), Canada, Cory M. Coons has been performing, writing and recording music since about the age of 13. Cory was recently nominated at the "Producer's Choice Honors", (formerly Los Angeles Music Awards), in the "Rock Artist Of The Year" category for 2015... Imbolg

Imbolg's second release expands upon their diverse style that ranges from traditional hard rock and
metal in the vein of Black Sabbath, Danzig and Type O Negative while leaning towards the styles of
Punk, Death Rock, Synth and of course Goth. All songs on the album were written by Imbolg's
Singer/Guitarist Nate Dal Cais with the exception of the song
“Your Darkest day” co-written lyrically by Chris “Pit” Gnecco
formerly of rock band Ours
The Sorrows was inspired by an Irish Folk Tale called Deidre of the Sorrows.
Although the title itself sets a mood of sadness, and may suggests it may only
contain more slow tempo or somber songs, nothing could be more false. A perfect
example of this is the album’s first single “Red Devil” that echoes tones that are
similar to two of the band’s main influences: Type O Negative and the 69 Eyes.
Some other notable tracks include a more synth based song called “Edward”
inspired by the Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands, “an Autumn Night” a duet
with Dal Cais on Piano vocals and guest accompaniment by Helen Buyniski on
Violin, and “Paler Still” a modern Punk Rock song reminiscent of another of the
band’s influences the Misfits.
Hailing from NYC, the band has performed at such places as CBGB's Gallery,
Witchfest on Astor Place, and Yasgur's Farm. The Current lineup includes : Kitty
Hawke on Bass,Mark Demon on backing vocals and Ken Holley on Drums, a
cousin of Rock Legend Buddy Holly. Combined with ethereal synthesizers, an
articulate and powerful Rhythm section, topped with the potent and moving
vocals Imbolg's leader vocalist/guitar player Nate Dal Cais, the Sorrows will not
disappoint as they lure your into their darkly enchanted spectrum of sound.
The band is planning on revisiting several states along East Coast and Possibly
come out to the West Coast to perform. The aforementioned song “Red Devil” is
also scheduled to be featured in the upcoming Acid Bath Production Horror
Comedy “the Litch” starring Golden Globe Nominated Actor Tom Sizemore
(Saving Private Ryan,Black Hawk Down) and Scream Queen/Director Genoveva
Rossi. Like their previous self titled album,The Sorrows will be available for sale
in most major U.S. Cities and for play in over 150,000 digital jukeboxes
nationwide.

Bill Draper

My name is William Lee Draper, aka, Bill Draper. I was born in Watertown NY.
I grew up in a household where my father had an acoustic guitar sitting around he played some chords sometimes. I was first influenced by the allure of the guitar and him playing. He usually had to have a few drinks in order to play. Later, I saw Aerosmith on television, the “Angel” video, “Run DMC, with Aerosmith collaboration” which drew me to Aerosmith and their guitar army. That band means so much to me on many levels, musically and personally I can relate to their much reported on story. I play a variety of instruments, drums, bass guitar, rhythm and lead guitar, sing, writelyrics, some piano and harmonica. Other influences to come later were Pearl Jam, which I hardcore related to the abuse as the Jeremy video and song put in our televisions and minds. My Mom was very abusive. My father was very passive. Even further into the list come Bush, Metallica, U2 Big Wreck, Julian Lennon, Alanis Morissette, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, etc.

I have been in some bands. Some say marriage is a band of members. I say it is also the leading cause of divorce. The best you can do is move on and build your own musical empire. It isn’t that we ourselves haven’t made mistakes too, but you have to look at who learned from them and who actually has a conscience. There is abuse even on local levels as far as stealing music and money from members. I hope to never go through that again. That was one band I was in. The others were The Lost Pariahs, an original band of two members that never got far off the floor. We played an event at Jefferson Community College. We wrote our own material. I still play some of it. Two songs on my ANGELIC BEING disc, dying to Live and Pariah City, came from those sessions. I totally revamped the songs to make sure they were different from the original musically. I kept my lyrics and used them. The other bands I was in- was cover bands. I really wanted to be writing our own music, but I could not sway a member.

I am a member of National Leadership Society of Success at Jefferson Community College in Watertown NY and I also played for the induction ceremony. I have played countless live gigs alone, solo, or with bands. I also have another original disc (work) with Kimberly A. Cavanagh. She is my significant other and we do poetry and music collaboration. It is a disc and live project that hit topics such as spirituality, love, mental health, abuse and more. I have also played some suicide prevention and awareness vigils. One in Albany NY, one in Lowville NY and one in Watertown NY.

Currently, I have been selling my own CDs through CD BABY, Facebook advertising, Reverbnation, and mostly by hand locally. I also have T Shirts available. I also am putting a band together currently to play out these songs. I hope after June –August of 2018 I will be able to get the band on its feet. After, I recover from a surgery in late June 2018.

G.H.G.N
A 38-year-old guitarist from Brazil who is dedicated to home-made instrumental recordings to bring his music to life. Fan of rock and blues, but admirer of all musical styles that demonstrate the minimum of content. I highly value the work of authors in an era that is easy to follow in the way of rewriting great hits, a formula used even by established artists. I started my work composing riffs in solitary musical sessions and decided to record and put on platforms online for those who are interested in a raw sonority. I even created an instrumental project called The Space Ashes, but ended this to do something with a more personal message. In my work, I try to make the sound as visceral as possible, so studio music approaches the spontaneity and energy of a live performance. I see this as an extra challenge for a musician who does not perform live shows. Lastly, and most importantly: My work revolves around the instrument that enchants me and defines not only a style of music, but a lifestyle and a state of soul. The eletric guitar. In May 2017 I released the first compilation of the Space Ashes project on streaming platforms and the second part was released in September. Right now I’m working on a new album with instrumental music but also lyrics and vocals.
